I like the VT but mixed feelings about the TC side. When it works is a good vape but if I put it down for a few minutes goes berserk, TC kicks in and vape is super weak. Only workaround is to remove the atomiser and hope that the APV will allow to be reset. I hope they had implemented a way to force reset without removing the atomiser.
In VW mode works really good with Kanthal so I might drop the whole TC thing for now.
Worst part is that now they will correct the issues we have and I get stuck with current firmware.

Lots of peeps complain about tc not working properly only to find out later it was their build or intermittent connectivity within their atomizer. Tell us more about your setup, build and symptoms. Odds are the source of the problem is not the VT.

Think of it this way. We didnt know what was in the ocean before we jumped in..we just did and then made the choice on if we liked it afterwards. Right now I see soo much confusion from people about this VT its sad. Mainly because people are just scared or afraid....let me tell ya, there is nothing to be afraid of. Only thing you are going to be upset with, is not doing it sooner.

Even tho i have spent the past 29 years in the ocean, I still realize I know nothing about it...

I put it all in a photo for you. Subtank, Evic and Spider silk and an 8 dollar lifetime supply of cotton....I call this the [HASHTAG]#gameover[/HASHTAG] setup. Im going to do a blue and white one of this as well....since my bike is blue my jet ski rental fleet is all blue, and pretty much everything else...that or white :)

What issues. It really works perfectly when you know what your doing with it.. I had trouble like that the first day.. till I understood the power of the vt.

I highly doubt this was by design. Its one more bug they didnt catch that will be fixed after screwing the early adopters.

Ive had two now and the second ine still reads resistance wrong. Eventually changes it after skeep. At first it just fries cotton.

It regukarly sees anything around .15 or so as .11 after sleep. Fires and fries stuff. Warms up and settles at .12 or whatever.

Fwiw buikding lower seems to be more reliabke. Getting under .1

This has confirmed i will never buy joytech etc again. They cant help but make crap.

It really doesn't matter, what your seeing is the refinement. Thats what its suppose to do, your coil is .11ohms not .15! don't fight it. Lock it after its set for 15-20min... Or you have a loose leg/contact.

If you don't install a dead cold coil you will go down in ohms. And in turn your temp curve will change with it..

On top of that what your describing makes no sense. If the ohms go down your temp curve will be lower, if the res climbs the temp will be hotter. At the same setting.

Otherwise you have coil problems. Loose leg, hot leg, shorting coils, poor atomizer contacts, ect.

I'm not bs'ing you..

This is why i pulse but no longer then .5 seconds max even then it might be just a .25 second fire...some boxes have a delay in them, you'll have to get used to that perfect timing...

I look for just the slight color change(red) and let off the power, This allows me to spot a hot area, an arcing wire or a lose connection and most importantly that it glows from the inside out.... Works Every time. No residue, no junk on the wire no nothing. BUT you CANNOT hold it down and get the wire too hot

Using ti I don't prepulse at all wrap, wick, vape. If there's issue with res or temp ill look at the coil closer wicked and wet.. You'll still see the problem..

My personal reason for not prepulsing is that it makes the refinement take longer if you want to vape it right away. Also you don't want to pulse ti too much.

I had a res and temp issue with that build; that progressed to burnt hit... Thats when I found the arcing.. Tightened the wire and it was solid from there on. Same rayon wick.

Ok you made me jealous with your posts this am.. Your living the life man. :)

Quote - July 3, and its still .52 July 18th

Another ti on Rayon build this time on the FEV v3. It's good, no issues noticed from the wired base connections.

Res has been stable at .52 and not budged.

I tried a trick to get it locked cold right away with no refinement needed.

The process.

A never powered fresh build wick and ready. You can have the screen on but never hit fire button while atty is reading.

Unlock atty ohms

Power off /on

Have atty attached but loose to 0 ohms

Get into the menu scroll down to atomizer and prepare to lock

Screw atty on and lock the res it will ask new coil when fired, it does not apply power at that point. Select new.

That's it..

The coil has never seen power at this point and the resistance is cold, accurate, and hasn't change for a day.

Justed picked up some Ni200 28 gauge wire to have my 1st go at building nickel coils, not new to wrapping coils, but am new to nickel though, be using the evic of course with the kanger subtank, any suggestions of what kind of resistance I should be aiming for, how many wraps on what size bit etc?

I just wrapped the same Wire 8 times around 2.5mm. Came out to 0.12.
I'm still working out the wicking on the new RBA for the subtank.

Have they fixed the wattage surge on atty change with the Evic yet???
Like this device but not sure about that little issue...

It's a non issue, if you think you'll notice a split second surge of 30w this device isn't for you.. One should already be vaping at, at least 20w before even considering this.. IMO.

Mostly it would only be noticed if your wicking was not right.
