Chain vaping will heat up the atty, which heats up a drip tip if there's no insulation between the tip and the atty (it'll also heat up the mod). Not sure if it actually gets hotter than the vapour (I'm quite sure that it does though, metal will retain heat), but it sure feels that way. In any case, for me, drip tips with insulation are more comfortable to use, and my vapour isn't particularly hot.

I doubt it, the Mini is firmware upgradeable.
Yes, I know. Just wondering, if it was the same chipset on the board, if we could see where hook up the usb data lines on the original VT to enable upgradability. Not saying it would work but maybe worth a try if they ever provide an update with the correct tcr for Ti-G1. I'm just astounded that they haven't resolved this with the mini or the original size VT's. I mean, what the heck kind of ti did they use to determine tcr on these things?

Having yet another issue with my VT can not get warm vape anymore with either TI or NI coil
tried new coils & does not help here are my specs evic VT cool black firmware 1.18 TC mode Ni
temp 570F (Luke warm) @ 60W atomizer ohms fluctuates from 2.2 -2.7 currently it reads 2.3 on new coil.
Unit is a week & a 1/2 old also running the ego One Mega tank this just started a a few days ago that I noticed I had to bump up the heat a couple times a day now at the 570F mark & pretty sure at some point it wont be warm at all
I do get a good vapor cloud but it is just cold
when I inhale it reads 336F then goes into protection mode wattage peaks at 29W then drops to 23W

Sounds like a connectivity problem. Your res is varying and it shouldn't. For every .01 ohms added base res you would have to turn up your temp about 30°f. So an increase from .22 to .27 ohms is huge.

1. Make sure the coilheads are tightened firmly.

2. Clean the 510 connection of the Mega One and Mod with alcohol and cotton swabs.

3. Exercise the Pos pin of the mod by repeatedly depressing it. It should move freely and return to full extended height under it's own spring force.

4. If none of the above help remove the coil head from the tank, hold it upright and firmly tap it on a hard surface 20-30 times. This will brighten up the coil leg connections within the coil head.

5. If none of those seem to help, buy or borrow a rebuildable atty to see if the problem is with the Mega One or the Mod.

Good luck.

just noticed also when you tap the fire button 10x it shows the temp it used to read 30 consistently now reads 25 also used to show the new coil/same coil now I don't get that even removing tank

Ok.

1. Base res should be read and locked when the mod temp is at 20°c.

2. The mod will not show new coil/same coil message unless atomizer is removed, res is unlocked AND res has changed .02 ohms or more.

3. Mega One Ni coil heads should read closer to .20 ohms.

4. If the spring loaded pos pin in the mod is working correctly you should begin to feel some resistance when the tank is threaded in about half way. Then you should feel the resistance increase until the tank bottoms out on the mod.

thanks that is about what mine is moving guess I will head to the shop & try a new atty set up
Smoking was so much easier but am not going back to that may pitch this thing & find something smaller & more reliable

Sorry you're having troubles with the evic setup. Hopefully it's just a problem with the Mega One. That wouldn't be unusual. My 3 evics with STminis get worked hard and have worked great over the last few months. It is possible you got a bad one. Hope not. Is it past the warranty period?

OK been playing around with it if I blow into the tank fluid comes out my airflow holes then it seems to heat fine then goes cold so I am assuming I have leak by in my tank hopefully?

Yes it's flooding somehow. Maybe missing an oring, take it apart and find a diagram online showing all the parts.
