I'm using Hybrid SS Mesh and Hemp wick on AGA-T+/2 with ribbon kanthal coil..Just took the fill screw out, stuck some hemp down into the tank, and tied it to the top of the mesh wick! Hoping for some sort of juice reserve above the coil since the top of the SS wick is usually the least saturated, and it's working a treat!! clouds and flavor, go me!

When I used hemp in my phoenix or vv nova I had the coil wrapped directly on the hemp, but I found that the hemp needs to be replaced rather frequently... in this case the hemp is just a wick and does not take any heat from the coils since it's on the SS mesh, and it's working nicely

Currently testing the 1mm hemp from lovepedal: so far, going great!
I've got the 7-strand variety, and it wicks quite well; I've ended up bundling together 4 threads with 0.15mm (34.5 AWG, I think) Kanthal on a modified A7 atom, and boy the vapor production is amazing, even compared to cotton. Apparently two 1mm threads aren't enough for my (chain)vaping style, with 3 being just sufficient.
For some reason this hemp thread isn't swelling that much in size, so in a loose coil it wasn't performing very well; as soon as I've bundled the 4 threads with the wire (just touching them, not tight) I've hit the jackpot. Go figure...
On a separate note, I'm wondering how some of you can use AWG 28 wire... made a few attempts with AWG 32 (0.20mm) Kanthal, and it takes some serious time for the coils to heat up enough for vaping. True, I use 3+ ohm coils so a lot of wire is needed with AWG 32, but still...

Good stuff xpen I've found the same as you, in that hemp doesn't seem to swell as much as I expect it to and I end up with tighter coils vs. other natural wicks.
Also same experience with 28 awg. Only time I've enjoyed it is on a .9 ohm coil on my mechanical with the DID. Otherwise it takes so long to heat up its silly

this doesn't get saturated to the point where there's dripping of juice from the hemp?

These are some new flavors vapingzone has gotten in. The two tobaccos I've tried so far are a light brown color in the flavor bottle, and at 2% they taste like my own TPA TA (diluted with 90% PGA) and used at 1 drop per ten ml. And I'm sure they are basically just TA, maybe a slightly different style.
(These flavors are tobacco and tabakum)
So yeah they're not really clear, sadly. But at 2% they come out clear like in that pic
I think vapingzone is throwing them up soon for sale, but its going to be a limited time only thing.

Hemp doesn't swell much, but wicks fast, in my 30g ovals I am using two 2mm threads, one long one short, the long carries the juice and the short works as a reserve supply in the coil, have never had a dry hit and/or flooding this way. 30g has become my preferred wire as it has more longevity and larger surface area than 32g and faster heating then the 28g. Most of my coils are in the 1.8 to 2.4 ohm range..
definitely does not drip off of the hemp, been running this setup for a week. On a related note, the 1mm strand of hemp that's going down the fill hole into the tank also seems to do a decent job of preventing juice from leaking out when the PV is heavily tilted. I haven't tried leaving it that way for extended periods of time, but it's survived the "friend test" well where my inexperienced/uninformed friends trying out my e-cig held it upside down not knowing it could leak, but a quick check inside the cap showed that everything was ok!

On my first day of using lovepedal's 1mm hemp with 0.2mm kanthal on Vivi Nova head. So far very nice!
I shouldn't claim too strongly as it's only my first day but I think it wicks better than the 2mm square braid cotton wicks I've been using.
As soon as the hemp wick touches liquid I can see it instantly sucks it like sponge. My square braid cotton wick did that too but it was slower.

Simple question (maybe?). Because I have a job that I will get drug tested, and I vape pretty much all day, i'm kind of concerned that they may have some T.H.C. (ecig forums made me do that) in it. Wikipedia (i know not the greatest source) says - hemp encourages the use of strains of the plant which are bred for low tetrahydrocannabinol (...) content or otherwise have the ... removed.
Edit: Guess I could ask the question. Should I be concerned? Or is there a way to see if it's removed? I'd like to try the hemp, just not sure I should.

Industrial hemp has traces of tetra so low it cannot be detected by any test you would have to pass at work, nor would it effect you in any psychoactive capacity. As far as I can tell from my research anyway.
This is my opinion, not backed up by any facts. If you are worried about it just contact lovepedal and make sure there hemp is tetra free.

Thanks for starting this thread a while back, on the recommendation of you guys, I ordered 1mm from lovepedal. Got it just today.
Awesome performance on my vivi vamo setup. Although I modded the head and base of vivi for better airflow, result ........ plumes !!!!!.
The taste is much better than silica. Though the texture of the vape is a bit throath itchy, may be I am just new to this, will use it this whole week and see, how it goes.
