I also did plenty of research prior to the purchase of my first Provari. No need for the extended warranty IMO. My first Provari (standard) is over a year old now and I never had any issues. I didn't purchase the extended warranty on my second Provari (Mini) either, which is 5 months old.

Provape offers service and repair for as long as you own your Provari:

Standard Service Repair Costs

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00
Return shipping within the USA - $5.00
Return shipping International ~$46.00

I bought my Vamo,in July,as an early B-day present. I was very pleased at first, but the threading issues have led me to look at the Provari. Xhaze reasoning,is my point. I have vaped for over 2 years and will not go back to Cigs,so I might as well click the purchase button,on my early Xmas present. I was kind of hoping they would come out with the VW and know they will as soon as I buy,but does it really make a difference? The Vamo was my first VV/VW.

sounds like me same thing vamo good but threads going already and I have no one to call to fix

and as a side note I've switch to VV mode in vamo a month ago and there is no difference I change voltage as much as wattage

My provari will be at my door today:2cool:

EXT warranty are usually not worth the price. Products that need it do not offer it and ones that dont do. Its a way to get a few extra dollars from you. Congrats!

In hindsight I wish I didn't get the extended
But my thinking was Im sending money I don't exactly have for spending right now
because my other mod is having problems and no on is going to fix it
so I was in the mod of wanting protection

now I see I was a little hasty with that

I have the Panasonic 18650 battery,4 of them, will they work in the Provari? I also have the nitecore charger,so do I need to order their charger? I know I will have to order the 18650 ext cap. I am happy with the tanks I use,so I don't need their tank, also is there a real difference in the blue, green or red Led,yes I'm cheap and don't want to pay for something I don't need.

First let me say that Provape's website states the recommended battery for the Provari is the red AW IMR button top.

Any button top IMR of appropriate length will work. The grey Panasonic CGR18650CH (IMR-Li Ion hybrid) 2250mAh will fit/work. I've read the green Panasonic NCR18650PD (high drain-high capacity) 2900mAh will fit/work. They must all be the button top variety.

I would be wary of buying the Panasonic NCR18650B (high drain-high capacity) 3400mAh. It comes in a variety of lengths and may not fit.

Using magnets on flat top batteries to make them fit in a Provari is explicitly forbidden, and doing so voids the warranty. Provape designed the Provari to use only button tops intentionally as a safety feature to prevent putting a battery in backwards.

I also have the nitecore charger,so do I need to order their charger?
No, the Nitecore is fine. I use the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 as my primary charger, and my daughter uses the i2. Nitecore Intellichargers are among the chargers most recommended for mod batteries.

I know I will have to order the 18650 ext cap. I am happy with the tanks I use,so I don't need their tank, also is there a real difference in the blue, green or red Led
No difference, purely personal preference in aesthetics. The blue and green LED displays costs the customer $20 more than the red, because that is the additional cost that Provape spends to buy them from their supplier.

I have never purchased one before, but to my understanding, and I could be wrong.. The 510 to 510 adapter I plan on using to protect the Provari's threading from stripping. I will screw it on and attach my atomizers on top of that. I found on some of my other devices, the threading seems to strip little by little over time from the constant screwing/unscrewing of atties. So I rather wear down the threading on my adapter than on my provari. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but this adapter can be used for this purpose right?

you won't need to worry about this happening to a Provari,,,,,,,not unless you plan to take a wrench to the threads LOL

you could use it for another mod made of brass though,,,,,,,,brass is softer.

youll likely notice that the atomizer's threads will get damaged long before the provari's threads. i had my provari in my back pocket one time and sat on it. the tank was at a 45 degree angle when i pulled the unit from my pocket. had to really wrench it to get it off. the tank's threads got damaged but the provari's were not. the provari's threads were so strong that they actually damaged the tank's threads. the vari is one tough unit!

congrats on your purchase. i dig how you titled the thread My FIRST Provari. classic. once you get one, you want more!

Is there some sort of upgrade option for when future models are released? If so, how do they handle that? I expect the V3 to be coming out sometime.
I actually don't expect an upgrade anytime soon. If they were planning to do that, it would naturally have been when they did the most recent upgrade from version 2.0 to 2.5 this past summer, which was purely a cosmetic change in body markings, no change to the inner electronics.

When Provape upgraded the V1 to V2, owners sent their Provari to Provape and the upgrade was done for $20. This upgraded the amp limit on the processor.
