Not sure what the difference is between the government being shutdown and open for business. isn't that one and the same?

It seems to me to be a lot of government workers getting laid off that really don't do anything when they are at work.

After reading this, y'all have made me a little nervous so I am going to buy some nic juice. I have never done diy but don't want to get caught short or screwed by the government. I am going to get 3 liters of 100mg juice. Will the bottles go straight into the freezer without breaking or do I need to get some other bottles to break it down into smaller quantities before freezing? Many thanks in advance for the advice.

Do some research first. You might not need 3 liters. I have 1/2 a liter of 100mg and at 12mg/ml juice consuming an average of 5 ml a day, that will last 2 years at least.

You do want to break it down into smaller bottles, specifically amber glass with a poly cap seal. I add teflon tape to the threads and put them in a freezer bag then into the freezer.

3 liters would theoretically last me 12 years and there's no guarantee that the NIC would be viable at that age. It can even break down into a toxic substance. The known age of frozen NIC is 3 years without much degradation so it's probably safe to say you could get to 6 years.

If I drop to 10 or 8 or 6 ml/mg I can up to double the life span of my stash too.

Thank you Moogle. The nic is for two of us and with the math that should last us a litttle longer than 5 years. I would rather be safe than sorry. I hate paying sin tax because everyone gets the benefit from a lot of those dollars but it's the few that have to pay it.

You put the teflon on the inside of the cap? Doesn't it get messed up?
I have teflon tape. I may wrap it on the outside of the cap.

I wrap the outside of the bottle threads. Just to make sure they are air tight. Just like sealing a pneumatic connection.

There is no such thing as too many bottles. Every time I get an order of them I find out I need more. I recently tried some 2 month old juice that had been stored in a negelcted AGA-T and it was WAAAYYYY better than a 1 week steep. I'm going to use my big bottles to make 45 ml batches that I can steep for 2-3 months of my favorites!

I've been keeping a casual eye out for a particular & popular powder for the last nine months. Not once have I found it.

I've got a small stock of nic and plan on buying some more. I don't know that my wife and I will still be using it in another year or two, but I know I don't want to be forced to not use it. Worse case scenario: we wean ourselves off of nic and the remaining stash is sold or given to another DIYer. $130ish for a 1.5 year supply of nic for my wife and I (conservative estimate) vs. absence or ridiculous taxation by the man (almost a guarantee in my book), that's a preparation I'm willing to make.

Just like having extra food in the pantry for emergency situations, there's really no downside as long as we use it.

You can say that again. I'm not worried about anything getting banned and imo, taxes are coming. What worries me is what these BT companies are going to put in the liquids that they sell and nic getting 'regulated'. FDA? Phhht. Their pillow partners use 4000 chemicals to make smoking more addictive and I should trust what they do and have to say why? I don't think so. I'm not one of their sheeple anymore.

At the very least, I would be shocked if 100mg/ml will still be available to us regular folk if/when the FDA steps in. Maybe we go the same way as Europe with allowing a max strength of juice. I do know 1 thing for sure if that happens, a liter of 36mg/ml base will probably cost triple what a liter of 100mg/ml costs now.

Nobody is worried about ecigs getting banned, they won't be, the judge wouldn't let them.
We're worried about getting THE PRODUCTS WE WANT FROM VENDORS WE TRUST!
