I knew you'd say that. It's more gooder with the natural wick. Just saying.

I have a problem w/ the new replacement heads i just got, they're givin off a weird taste that won' go away no matter what I do. the wicks look clear when doused in juice - diff't from the ones that came w/ it which look white - idk what the deal is but the new ones are producing a synthetic, silicone taste...anyone else experiencing this?

I had a similar problem with the iclear 30's... tasted like a tennis ball. Decided from this point on I will wash out any tanks I buy from this point on.... did a triple soak in hot purified water in a coffee cup from a water cooler we have. After that it was fine. Probably would help you as well.

Will buy some of these tanks next week sometime, they look great and love that it's using pyrex glass.

yea i thought that too so i washed a head in hot water, rinsed it w/ distilled water and let it dry/dryburned it and it's still there...i think they changed the wick material.

I've had that as well, also with my evods. It's not a really strong taste, just enough to make you think hmmmm....

I'll try a washing as well and see if that helps. I also get that taste with my Vapeonly tank. All bottem feeders.
Please update this thread if you find a solution.

Might be too many extra wick strands on top of your coiled wick. Have you tried taking one little strand off?

I had to take off the silicone cup. I have a zmax 2 running the protank coil at 7 watts with no silicone cap or whatever it is. Note: this works for me...I had to do this with the other T3s as well.

Hrm, so I got my Kanger ProTank a couple of days ago, and I think I need some help.

Currently using an eVic with 2600 (Pink) battery
Have been using 3.5ml DCT's @ 8.1 for at work due to maintaining decent vapor through the day, no leakage, no worries about pocket storage. Playing with an AGA T2, Octopus RDA, and A7 at home.

Was anxious for the Kanger ProTank as a replacement, but am having issues getting desired performance. I would describe my problem as muted flavor. The first use seems to be almost there flavor-wise, but falls off on subsequent use (seemingly it takes a bit to wick more juice) I am currently running the stock 2.5 Ω (measured at 2.4 on the eVic) atomizer at 10.1 watts, 4.92 volts with a 80/20 PG/VG blend. I don't seem to taste anything on the inhale, a bit on the exhale.

So, if you are happy with your Kanger ProTank, please post your setups (device/mod/battery, atomizer used (most are probably the 2.5 as of this post), measured Ω, and voltage/wattage used.)

I really want to love this thing. Thanks in advance!

Espio, some folks are recommending removing one of the wicks for heavier/thicker juices. Pbusardo has a wlk through on his blog tasteyourjuice.com that goes over this process. Might want to give it a look.

I found that the first tank or 2 had muted flavor and then started to get much better in my experience. My problem is with the tank if I let it sit for a day or two and dont use it the juice tastes terrible and turns very dark color. Same thing would happen in my viva novas.. I dont have that problem at all with carto tanks. I think the juice picks up metal or something used in these tanks they use. cant say for sure.. I have also dripped from the juice thatw as in the vivi nova into an atty that was rancid tasting and the same taste would be there in the fresh atty. Juice seems to have been tainted somehow. Might just be my stuff, but just saying.. Ive since went back to carto tanks and dont have the problem with them.

Will check it out, 80/20 PG/VG is considered heavy? I'm still fairly new, I thought that would be a lighter juice. Granted, I'm gonna yank some wick, then check the Pbusardo blog... (lol, yeah, I'm the guy that does something THEN reads the instructions to fix it)

Thanks!

LOL, yeah I'm probably that guy as well, so no worries. I wouldn't really consider 80/20 pg/vg a heavy juice, but flavoring contents can also thicken a juice.
