Im using the sigelei ZMAXX v3 (flat top) with the Kangertech PROTANK. The Protank does use a smaller a wick than the Kanger T3 which is now the new standard for all of the Kangers. Ive personally never heard of that with the Kangers but i am constantly doing research. If anyone anymore testimonials otherwise i will gladly listen. Also i just joined. So uhm hi.

I'll get around to getting the PT2. In the meantime, I've beent using the Davide, and it is very similar and far superior to the PT1, imho. The PT2 was created to compete with the Davide. The Davide has two air holes in the 510, while the PT1 had 3, giving it it's notorious "airy" draw. The Davide is tighter. If the PT2 does the same, and I believe it will, then you'll have a tighter draw with the PT2, an improvement imho. The all use the same coil assemblies.

No leaking here, but an extra tight draw. Still trying to figure it out. It either has to be the air holes or the head getting clogged somehow.

Im having the same problem. It starts out good but then it will get tighter and tighter. The base looks the same. Think Im gonna try it with my original protank base and see what happens.

I have three of the new ones and 18 of the old ones. I guess the new ones are OK but I didn't have any problems with the old ones. I figured I'd drop a few and break them is the reason I loaded up but I haven't broken even one. They seem to work the same as the old ones except the draw seems a bit tighter on the new ones (which I'm not particularly fond of). So in summary, I like the so-called "airy draw" on the old ones better that the draw on the new ones, replaceable glass tank and drip tip is no big deal to me. That's all I got.

rounding third and heading home...
the bases and coils are interchangeable between the one and 1 and the 2-if you liked the old one but want a tighter draw use the new base(or buy a tatroe protank base). if you like the new one but want an airier draw use the old base on the new one. or if you want the best of everything get a dbox puritank(they all use the same coils).

that's bunk. ProTank is a huge hit, lots of people love them, and a bunch of other vendors are copying features from it.
It's just the ProTank 2 is new with a couple differences - but you sound like you're mixing it up with the MINI ProTank.
The ProTank 2 is not smaller. The MINI is smaller!
And there's a Mini Protank 2 coming sometime this month, which is probably why it's hard to find any Mini's right now...

This tank looks great. I've been considering getting one ever since they've come out.

I walked into a vape shop not too long ago and talked to them about the original protank (which I owned already). They told me the glass in them is glued or epoxied to the metal. They also told me that the tank would come apart when it would get overheated several times. Scary! I don't know how true this is but has sort of steered me away from using it. Can anyone here verify the veracity of this claim?

I like that the portank 2 has a replaceable glass portion. Very cool. Also I love the smaller size.

I'm sure I'll get one eventually but I've been rocking my Nimbus clone for a week now and love it.

By the way, this is my first post...so uh, hello all! I'm glad I (finally) joined this forum.

I use the original Pro Tank, and have broken the threads off of 2 of them. Someone had mentioned to me that the weak threads issue was worked out with the PT2. I love the PT1, so will probably buy 1 or 2 of the new ones.

You can buy replacement bases at DiscountVaper. I've had the PT II for two days and it works very good. I have five PT one's and have used them a few months with no problems except a couple of the bases broke when I dropped them while attached to the heavy Vamo. The new bases are supposed to be stronger. I picked up five replacement bases from DV for less than 10.00. He doesn't have the spare tubes in yet but should be in stock soon.

Protanks are a great delivery system, but it seems with every clearomizer delivery system, you always get that burnt taste after a while. I personally like cartomizer tanks, with a boge carto.

You're supposed to clean the heads every now and then.
