Note the negative post in my pics is tightened as far as it can go. it is just long. a unique thing about my Katana i guess. or maybe i just don't know how to possibly tighten it any more without possibly breaking something.

No worries, the short post is the positive post, not the negative post.
The height doesn't create shorts on it's own, it's more that the space you have to make a coil is much shorter. You should be able to simply push it down. That electrode is inside the insulator and is not threaded. You wil have to push it down with the battery removed.
Keep in mind that pushing that post down can possibly create a slow leak so keep an eye on it if you do push it down.
I'd leave it too. You can easily get a 3, 4, or even 5 wrap coil in there without a space issue. I'm sure you'll get it sorted and going very nicely.

To begin, how the heck do I bore the air hole to 1/16? I have a bit, but I'm sure it's not the correct one as it won't penetrate. Do I have to buy a Cobalt or Titanium one or something? Unfortunately I don't have a press.

I think I can answer your question. The fill hole is simply plastic. From what I read here, you can start with a small bit turning by hand, and keep increasing the bit size till its where you want it. Then you can syringe flush it with water to remove the shavings.
For the air hole, just get a few bits that will handle steel and repeat the above process with a cordless or whatever you have. From what I've read it's not that bad!

Thanks dude. It was a pleasure meeting you as well, though I was 3 sheets to the wind. I will have to work it pretty hard using the bits that I have, so I might have to get harder ones and more than an 18 Volt cordless. My Dad has a machine shop at his disposal though so I'll probably pass it on to him.

If you mean the optimal size for making a wick, I use 50mm x 15mm regardless of the mesh count. The thinner walled wick moves juice alot faster than a thicker walled wick.
Awesome! Do you roll it in the diameter of the centre hole? Smaller? Obviously, at 50mm it needs a hefty trim afterwards right?
Funky roll your wick so its diameter when finished is enough that it barely touches the sides of the hole. basically if I put my wick in and not all the way it will kinda stay where i put it but it could easily fall right in. that seems to work for me. you just don't want it to be snug at all. I repeat just barely touching
Exactly, it should just fit in.
It does not require much of a trim either, I leave it about 5mm taller than the top post so it has a juice reserve and I cut thee bottom at an angle so that more of the mesh's face is exposed to the juice. This comes in handy for chain vapers because the angled cut increased wicking performance and the longer wick above the coil give a reserve so the coil is being fed from the top and the bottom.
Once it's broken it you won't have to use it at such a steep angle.

Fire it in 5-10 second increments while holding it upside down until juice starts to drip out the hole in the wick, that should help to get it going. As for the leaking...that's the price you pay for the flavor, clouds, and throathit that genesis atties dish out. I've been thinking about plugging my airhole and drip tip when I take my hybrids out and about, but for now, they're leak-city if I just pocket them.
Oh wow. I had never read that they had leaking issues. I'm actually glad that they do so I know it's not just me. I have been doing the 5-10 second riffs to get things working but I still only get 1 or 2 hits our of her before it's dryer than hell. My wick and coil look gorgeous. Not a single hotspot, unless the wick is bone dry.
Does yours consistently wick without inverting it, or is that pretty much the norm?
