Has anyone seen the comments Scott made on another form about wicking problems???? Is this a common problem??? Hear is his comment on his problems wicking ((((( hi all,

had my Katana for almost a month now and have some fixes that worked for me that i would like to share:-

wicking

i too had a lot of wicking problems when i 1st got my Katana and it got so frustrating that i almost threw the thing out of the window several times, lol. what made it so frustrating is that i have 5 Genesis style atomisers which wick perfectly and have never given me a dry hit.......i oxidised my wick in exactly the same way as i always do but the Katana was having none of it! i even took wicks that were working perfectly in my other Genesis atties and put them in the Katana but they would stop wicking immediately! lol

i tried fat wicks, thin wicks, long wicks, short wicks, filling screw in, filling screw out and a multitude of different oxidising methods.......but no matter what the wick would just not wick!

anyway, to cut a long story short i came to the conclusion that it must be caused by an air lock despite the fact that i never used the filling hole screw so there "should" have been at least some air flow.

so i simply made the filling hole a little wider and the problem was solved immediately and now it wicks just fine

unfortunately i didn't use a drill bit to widen the hole so can't give you an exact dimension, but hopefully this pic will put the size into a little perspective:-

I have not had this problem yet. Ip'm betting that he overfilled the tank and blocked the hole up with juice. I could be wrong, but that's my :2c:

Mine came with a couple machining marks on it, but it's handmade and it gives the PV some character IMO. Think beauty mark.

Riel think battle scar...really that sucks though. Sorry to hear it. Dreading when it will happen to me.

Blu, I'd leave it if it were me. As long as it is threading ok and hidden.
