What are you using for wick dimensions. For mine I am using 15mm x 50mm to make the wick. Thinner walled wicks move juice faster, but too thin and they overheat

Kami - I may try that trick with the screw .... mine sort of sticks once in a while. I tried using the shrink tubing, but that didn't go so well.

I have heard some mods are grumpy buggers.....but so far I have not seen any ... so I think it may be an ECF urban legend kinda' thing

riel - the 50 is the length ... actually longer than I use, but the 15mm is the roll-part.

Man, does that make sense? LOL

yes... makes sense Blu..............you want a rolled up wick that is 50mm long

if it is to long.....not to worry ..snip the excess off...if it is to short.....well.......your ......

i actually did try Scott's way and it did work better but make sure you have something to put in the bigger hole later, because if it tilts side ways all the eliquid will spill out i use 1mm bigger than the fill hole and the same screw still fits inside and even with the screw inside it still wicks, just don't screw the bolt to tight couple of turns and as we speak a just finished the magnets for my Katana switch it works great

Got mine yesterday. Wick is great, but I think I still need work on the coils. Haven't had sufficient time to mess with it, and I need to dig through this thread and bookmark some... 1352 posts. Wow.

Blue is correct, 50mm is the height, you roll the 15mm part. Hate thinner wall this produces wicks fast and still has enough juice in it to not overheat and wreck the flavor.

WHat size Kantahl have you found works the best I have seen on other forms some people using 0.20 Kanthal wire and 0.32 Kantahl wire?Does the climate have anthying to do with it or warmer vape????

With the Genisis being mostly a 3.7v device, I find that the 32ga kanthal is best. I believe tou mey be a little confused on the sizes though. 32ga and 0.20mm are the same wire. The other popular size is 36ga which I believe is 0.16mm and has a higher resistance/inch so is therefore less durable in LR coil configurations, but is suited to making HV coils that don't need to be super long.

It's just that I've been using Genisis mods pretty much since shortly after Raidy introduced it to ECF and spent ALOT of time and money doing experiments with them. I'm just passing all I've learned to all of you in the form of tips, tricks and explanations so that you guys can skip much of the learning and discovery parts and just go straight to great vaping mods.
