Kayfun 4 riddle.

Hello, dear vape people.

I was organizing the other day and I found a kayfun 4 that I have no recollection of acquiring.

It's in a Svo Mesto box and has the SM logo, which made me think it's authentic. However, I'm a tightwad and would not drop over $100 on a tank, so I began a bit of research.

I've seen that a number of clones come with the SM logo and a few even in the same (looking) box, which seems odd to me. This box does have the authentication seal (do they clone that too, lol)

Anyway, my question is how do I tell if its a clone or authentic? What should I look for?

Just in from a long work day, so not digging it back out for photos just yet.

Only have authentic v4s, so I'm not much help other than perhaps noting that you should ask yourself if you would stick a $180 tank in a drawer and forget about it. j/k. Hope you can get some help.

My trick is look at the ring that has the air holes on it. The authentics are smooth to the touch with no sharp edges. Also the Svoemesto logo etching on an authentic will be cleanly machined and have a pronounced darkness behind the lettering. Another thing is the luster of the stainless steel is a shade darker and the machining looks crisp and even where clones have a distinct rushed and cheaper look.

I had a clone that came in a sealed Svoemesto box.....and the o-rings were orange. The authentic's are black.
