Kayfun 5 upper tank segment question

Tried to put the metal tank on my kayfun 5 the other day. It wouldn't align properly. Looking at upper tank segment, part c20 (see link), it appears to either have a dent alongside the o-ring, that is preventing part c20 from aLigning wiht the tank segment fully.

Before buying a new part, i wondered if other peoples upper tank segment is entirely circular i.e. The dent could be part of the design, it's smooth looking and could act as a grip to enable easier removal. Unlikely, i know, but wanted to make sure before forking out on new piece and postage.

I assume yours is an authentic? If you bought it new, you could try to get a replacement ss tank section from the retailer or from SM directly.

Maybe post a pic of your tank so we can try to see if there is a problem or not!!
