In addition to to snugging up the + block I had to add a tubular "washer" under the adjustable 510 screw. Then it worked very well.
@Woofer, I'm confused. The KFL does not have an adjustable 510 screw. The exception is the Tobeco, which is really a Russian clone, not a KFL.

Perhaps I am the confused one. :) My KFL's are actually "authentic" Russian 91% V2s.

Regardless of the pedigree if the center tube is drilled and tapped for an adjustable 510 it will cause problems. The R91 v1 is a real pita I am told.

Could someone tell me why I am getting dry hits whenever I fill up my tank more than 50% ? I am using a kayfun Nano, wicked properly, so pretty sure that is not the cause. Channels are also clear. I see no bubbles coming out of the channels no matter how hard I draw - and I am on a tight draw to begin with. I do see bubbles coming out whenever I cover the air hole and draw. Could it be that I have too much vacuum in the tank whenever I go beyond 50% ?

I build my nano's the same as full size KFLs. Once when I had problems it was not sealing good where the chimney goes into the top cap. I replaced that o-ring and all was fine.

My juice is very thin, 85% PG, but I never could make a KF nano work properly -- always got the burnt taste. I finally gave up on it completely.

hmmm ... between my wife and I we use 5 KFL nano's and they all work as well as our full sized KFLs.

Ni200 in a KFL... I shudder at the thought...

Nope can be done. I have a nickel build on a Svoe KFL working fine on a DNA40 mod using 28g nickel, 9x, 3mm @ .14Ω, KGD wick.

Hmmm... you know, I've got over a year's more experience in wicking coils since the last time I tried; and I also use the japanese organic now, though I prefer shiseido. Maybe I should give it another try since I've gotten much better at building my own "perfect coil" and wicking it properly.

A year later....

Lite plus still the measuring stick for other RTA's,

Still tops in performance, simplicity, quality....

Ive done a couple rebuilds on two of them, there as good as new.

the stainless steel threads on the 510 connector dont wear out before the threads on my vv/mod. like that too.

Name me a tank that has come out since the Kayfun that hasn't copied some or all of the Kayfun design.

And yet none of them manage to be anything like as good as a Kayfun of any kind, authentic or clone.

Go for it ... no reason a nano shouldn't be as decent as a regular KFL.

Actually the FeV is 10x easier to maintain, fill and build, with the added bonus of exceptional flavor. :D

UD Bellus is another. And, I think that Aromaizer, maybe.

There are some, but none better than the KFs in my book.

The only atties I've found that compare to the Kayfun are a couple of RDAs... Magma -- great flavor, but a leaky little wretch -- and my favorite, the Achilles -- great flavor every bit as good as a Kayfun's, and never ever leaks.

Last week I experienced the only circumstance in which an Achilles will leak and gurgle/sputter -- if you overfill it!

The Magma and the Achilles are RDA's, not RTA's. But even they stole from Kayfun by incorporating direct-to-coil airflow.

Kayfun incorporated a few things that really changed things up. Direct-to-coil airflow. Vacuum. And a combustion chamber. It's a bottom feeder but previous bottom feeders were all gravity fed, not vacuum fed.

Sorry for asking stupid questions. This thread is too big , do not know where to begin looking. Anyway is kayfun lite plus v2 a good buy? Or should i go for kayfun monster v3
V2s are great. I have 7 of them. Last time I looked, Vapor Range still had the EHPro version for $9.95, heck of a deal.

Have to have a bubble of air at the top of the tank when you fill it for the vacuum draw to work properly. At least that is what I have always found to be true.
