No, cover the air hole while filling. Screw the cap down a bit. Invert the tank while you finish screwing in the cap.

when i use the ss tank this is how i fill all the time. it takes about 3-4 fills to master the technique. I dont have any leaks or flooding ever doing it this way. just remember to let go of the air hole when you flip it so the liquid can drop and force the air out. also dont fill it all the way up. just to where the tank ends or little pass it.

Wouldn't filling this way not have a vacuum effect and cause flooding?

I may be way off base, I tend to be as the voices get really loud but, the Kayfun Lite bonus is not to have to use the fill hole as the atty is not based on constant pressure in the tank. I will see if I can find the note on that from SM. I remember one of the sales points to be "fill it from the top or the fill hole due to an unpressurized tank.

How about Todd's method? (Simple double wicks, two ends tucked in to meet like the 8 coil, but much easier?)
Not sure how the side by side is much or any harder. Sure, Todd's, whatever works. I have a good buddy that just uses tails.
This happens to lay right down where needed with the coil parallel to post. There is no bending, twisting, or issue with fit.
Pretty simple.

I checked out the manual. The Kayfun Lite does work with a vacuum the same way the 3.1 did but it also says that you can fill through the top cap and even calls this method the "classic" method.

"The tank is sealed and air tight when the cap is closed, so liquid does not flood the evaporation chamber through these grooves - air pressure inside the tank prevents it."

It does give a flood warning when filling through the top:

"When refilling using method #1, it is important to consider that the tank is no longer air tight. This will enable the e-liquid to flow into the evaporation chamber through the grooves (1h).
When the cap is screwed back onto the device, this can also form a small amount of pressure which forces a bit of the e-liquid into the evaporation chamber.
Both effects can potentially add up to produce a small amount of flooding in the evaporation chamber.
This technique can take a bit of practice and should be conducted in a timely manner."

I guess once you get the hang of it, it is pretty straightforward to repeat later on. Will definitely try.

Is there a thread to improve the smoktech-terminator? I have two and I find them wanting to be better. Plus I don't have a good tank system to toss them in just the garbage they came with.
...
P.S. I too am waiting for new Kayfun Lites to come in. /groan/ shoulda pulled the trigger faster! Argh! Why my self vape budget doubts? Why oh why?!?!?!

I have posted about my modifications on the (TT thread)

Perfect! Thanks
When I do refill from the top on either Kayfun model (which is rare), when I am done i turn it upside down for a few seconds to recreate the vacuum lost or just prime with finger over airhole lightly and gently sucking.

I got in on the intaste batch this morning... just hoping that everything goes good with delivery. I've ordered from mmvapors in Germany and haven't had any problems. Those of you that have ordered from intaste before.. will I have to sign for the package?

Intaste uses FedEx , so you have to sign for the package

I haven't received mine yet, so I haven't tried filling one. But I DIY all my own juice, so I have lots of syringes around. I guess if I wanted to use the ss tank tube, I'd use the fill hole, and measure 3.5 ml of juice.

hey rule, new avatar? since you already have the syringes just fill from the fill hole. its real easy to add from this fill point, no issues. I have had my k-fun for a week now and really loving it. vapor about same as genny, but what I like about it is the juice stays crystal all the way to the end, also don't really have to worry about it leaking. what I do notice because of the atmospheric pressure thing is when I left it in my truck today, it started to gurgle a little because of the heat inside the vehicle, but it went away in one vape. I initially set it up with silica, then cotton, the cotton had a far better flavor. also have it with a micro coil.

At the Fedex site you have an option to customize your delivery. I authorized my stuff from inTaste to be left at the front door and it was.

Shower Time..... K-Lite !

Well, it was 2-weeks of non-stop use now so I took to giving my K-Lite a shower. Then a different wick & coil approach and finally fill-it up "The Conventional" way, which I haven't done till date.

ALL WASHED UP:

Standard lukewarm water cleaning with common dishwashing liquid. Then rinsing all nice & proper. No scrubbing / brushing involved...

SIZING UP WICK AND WIRE:

3mm Silica Rope; 30g Kanthal Wire; Cut to 12cms (approx) size - for ease of gripping. Used it all (the rope) ;)...

CRINKLED WIRE:

Wrinkled (corrugated) the wire a little to get more surface area, thus greater resistance under shorter length...

WICK AND COIL PREPARED:

Made a standard Figure-8 (schematic below) wick in large format, with 5-wraps of coil...

SPHEROID TYPE FIGURE-8 WICK:

Took hint from GP Paps thread on Spheroid's wick & coil setup; and made it exactly to the teeth...

CHECK RESISTANCE:

Had been using 0.9-1.1Ω coils till now, this time decided to go for Higher Resistance. This coil came out to 1.9Ω...

FINAL LOOK OF WICK & COIL:

Exactly what I wanted. A large wick with SR coils; and see how it feels on a Mechanical...

PACKING UP:
Packed it all up, with the wick facing upwards in the Chimney. Dropped 5-6 droplets of juice on the coil, then pushed only the single arms of the wick down towards the juice channels. Intentionally kept the loops yet upwards. The idea is to have enough juice in the wick system - keeping it well saturated always, but without overloading the coil with excess juice. That'd avoid gurgling and spitfires, but would keep the system moist even without pulling thru the mouthpiece. The aim is to have better flavor and vapor. Remember the TH is dependent on where (how high) the coil is from the Air Channel.

FILLING:
Before screwing the top-cap, filled the tank until the juice level came touching the threads of the tank (yes, filled it to near-full). Then, keeping my thumb over the air-hole, plugged the top-cap, gave it one turn AND tilted the atty upside down. Keeping the thumb yet in place tightened the top-cap, then fit the drip-tip. And let it stay a while before I loaded it onto my Mod.

BOTTOMLINE:
It has been a couple of hours now, and the system seems to be performing perfectly. No wicking issues there, no dry hits, no leaking, seeping, weeping - whatever. The vape experience is amazing... I'm getting nice flavor (better than before) and vapor is thick... things are absolutely fantastic... moving well, well till now!

You can go onto FedEx web site and digitally sign for package. I got another LITE coming from Intaste this morning, now they show sold out.
