Now that I'm using the newly discovered Rayon wicking material I've retired the over-wick method I had been using for quite some time, the Rayon works so well the additional wick over the top is unnecessary. If you haven't tried the Sally Beauty CelluCotton Rayon I highly recommend it, it's performance is stellar, it outlasts cotton by a mile, produces great vapor and the flavor is fantastic.

The flavor is extremely clean and there's no indication that any of the chemicals used to process it are present, I believe there would be a clear indication of something harmful with the first puff, but it's just not there.

This is my finding as well using it now for 2 weeks in my Kayfuns and RBAs.. Better than cotton.. Cleaner.. Well worth changing if you are a cotton user.. Much better wicking ability. Sallys has it in stock in most stores. Use the Rayon though/ $ 44060 is the rayon. You dont want to get the cotton they sell.. It is called Cellucotton Rayon.. If you use a kayfun you need this..

I don't have any wicking issues at all with cotton and am running dual micro coils on a 28ga kanthal build (10 wraps around an 18 ga syringe). Are you guys pasting your wicks to the side of the deck or tucking them in? Pasting each side in opposite directions is the way to go. Also make sure the wicks aren't too thick and can move back forth inside the coil. Lastly, try unscrewing that inner tube just a crack. This allows allows a little more juice it. Literally - just uncrack it after tightening it down...any more and you'll flood. Make sure you don't cut the cotton too long or screwing the inner tube on will knock them out of place.

Edit - I've got one of each version of the KFL that has been released and this works for me. I'm not adding any additional cotton on top or anything extra...just one wick through each coil. Using a PapsX as my mod.

I do the paste to side method vs the tuck method. I practice all the tips Lord said above.

One thing I've found too is I always install my coil in in a downward negative slope fashion or a backslash \ vs /.

I found that when screwing on the chimney cylinder if oriented in a / fashion, it would often catch the wick and throw it out of place. Doesn't happen if in a \ orientation.

I am having a serious Kayfun Lite Plus addiction problem! I am using the clone by Ehpro but they just work so wonderful that I have just ordered my third one! I have only one flavor that I still use in a carto tank but the rest is for the Kayfuns. I just love how easy and cheap it is to rebuild and not having to buy supplies every month.

And I have found that the tanks is pretty tough with my juices. So far I have used Pineapple blends and Banana and it shows no signs of wearing down. I do however DO NOT use my pink lemonade cause one time I accidently put it in a T3 clearo and it destroyed it within a few minutes.

It may be the juice you're using. I'm on my second day with the CC running at 14.8 watts, and not one dry hit, yet. Of course, there's a first time for everything. YM-apparently does-V.

Not sure why you addressed this to me... I'm not getting any dry hits since i started using the rayon, but I did get a burnt taste. Think I just had too much wick in there, it was pretty stuffed.

Anyway.. not sure I'm making any sense right now; was trying to catch up, after being offline all day yesterday and today -- acute appendicitis tends to do that. Still kinda goofy from the anesthesia. Maybe I'll make more sense tomorrow.

I couldn't agree more. After a few days, I'm 1 for 3 with the CC. In the Russian 91 I'm getting a slight burnt hit once in awhile. In the Reo, the taste seems muted. In the KFL+, it's fantastic, and I'm back to the drawing board to find out why it's not as good in the other two.

Been a couple days on the rayon in 2 of my kayfuns, so far it hasn't been this game changer that most are reporting. It seems that most of the high praises are coming from those who have had issues with cotton in there bottom coil tanks. I see tons of reports like this" I'm using the rayon at 13 watts now in my kayfun and no dry hits"! And I can see this because the rayon is really easy, you can literally stuff a coil and get instant great results. The cotton on the other hand is tricky. So that's a big plus for rayon for sure. The flavor is imo about the same as cotton but feels sweeter. It's also mega cheap and easy to work with. It definitely carry the juice better then cotton as well but for me, that's never been needed as most of my kayfuns I vape at 20 or higher watts with no issues with cotton. Haven't tried it in drip per attys yet and alot of the rayon raves have been with these attys so I must try that. All in all rayon is pretty awesome but for me it's not that much different in performance to cotton and it certainly is no game changer . I do have about 20 years worth and if anyone would like to try I can send.

I figured as much. Sorry for being a skeptic but I have seen just about every type and style of wicking and the vast majority of them come and go. Yes, I appreciate that there are some who venture out and try new things (I have too). After all, we need to learn. I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud. But I also take these fads with a grain of salt.
