FWIT my trobeca clone says made in Germany (even though its made in Japan.0 I have the air flow control open quite a bit now and the flavor is back, so I am taking back what I said earlier. I just hope I can get the rebuild process done quicker, I have little time during the week. Its the intake where the KLF shines on flavor.

I'm going to give my Ephro a try next, but the thing I like about aerotanks is the clones are so cheap you can keep a rack of them with different e-juices.

I have had my kayfuns for over a year and I have to say, it probably took me about 4 months to actually perfect my builds as to not have any issues anymore. But I enjoyed it because I like messing with this sort of stuff. So it does take alot of time imo to get every single build perfect but it is possible. It's just a matter of if you enjoy this and have the patients to get to that point.

Well, to be fair, there wasn't the level of expertise/help back then as there is now. I think a noob would be able to get up and running a lot quicker today. No?

My other hobby is building high voltage tube amps, its therapy for arthritis/stress/shaky hands, I can see perfecting the KFL to be similar. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

I definitely recommend beginners start with 28 gauge for the micro coil, much easier to work with and I would imagine they last longer?

I'm an electrical engineer; I build robots for fun; and getting the coil and wick right on the kayfun was complete with a night of created new curse words in 3 different languages. But eventually got to where I can wrap a good one in my sleep. And have one that's here strictly to play with
- but I still despise 32g and the damn kanger heads. Those things are the bane of my existence. It's a good thing I've figured out how to get a kayfun to taste as good as a protanks.

I thought they changed the fill port and added the air flow when they went from Lite to Lite Plus?

Mmmmm I think the life to lite plus was only the airflow. And they made changed it yet again from the v1-v2. Now I don't know. I only Have the one authentic and it's a lite plus- airflow on the side and bottom fill hole. Crazy thing is it's easier to fill than my clone v2. Honestly when I realized how good the clones were I stopped following he authentics. Now they have those two new RBAs that have me willing to sell my mothers kidneys for.

So I have lites and plus lites. But I guess because the wording on the bottom is not written in a straight line it's a v1 plus. I can tell you my v1 plus has a much deeper fill hole then the regular lite. So I think they changed the airflow and fill hole from the original lite to the v1 plus

And then again to v2?

Well I'm a newby to the Kaylite this is a tribeca and there are two holes underneath on the bottom side. A Phillips for fill and a slotted I assumed controls airflow. Can't remember where I ordered it.

Yes I have paint robots at work, constant weekend work keeping them going. It also amazes me how kids want to work with robots when they grow up :)

Having read most of this thread I thought if you bought an ephro or trobeca clone all was good? Paying over $100 for an "authentic"tank is for the rich IMHO.

What diameter coil?

As far as I know they only one to do test a has anyone w. beside by done a side byside comparo Aeortanks vs good Kaylite clone was me ? To someone elses point this thread was started long before the aerotank. One on of my builds I experience awesome flavor, but its just not repeatable. IMHO these Kaylites may not be worth the trouble. With drippers on the seen for the best flavor I have to ask the question?

It takes me 1/2 hr to build one due to arthritis and shaky habds, I'm just questioning if its worth it to not buy coils for the aerotank ? I may switch to a drippper, what is the opinion on that? I certainly can't use a KLF for ADV as I have little confidence in it kaing it thru a 13 hr shift.

Origen v2 clone.. :toast:

True there is definitely much more info out there now but I still think it takes quite a bit of time. yes I do think most now can get up and running alot quicker but to be able to get full results, 100 percent of the time, day after day consistently is a little harder. The time I mentioned wasn't just for one particular build, it's for any kind of build. It's for any resistance and for any wire gauge. It's making a set up thats best suited for10 watts as for making one that can handle 20. So yes, I do think it takes months to know that device inside and out.
