Thanks..

See, funny thing is, I dont get 'dry hits' or flooding. This thing has never leaked. I just dont get it.. I'll build it, vape for a bit, then WHAM!, burnt. This is on regulated or unregulated mods.. 6w to 12w.. doesnt matter.

Have you tried using voltage instead of wattage?
It's the same thing but the math is easier in voltage.
I use the rule of 2- add 2 to your resistance and set that as voltage
If I have a 1.5 ohm coil
1.5+2=3.5
I set volts to 3.5 and adjust from there to taste.
Also are you sure you're wetting the wick enough.
It sounds as though the coil is fine. And I know we're beating a Dead Sea Horse here but of the wick is clicking a channel or too thick it'll dry burn every time. Bronze set up some photos and those should help quite a bit.
Try doing your wick about 3/4 the diameter of your coil to see if that works, cut is t where it meets the floor and put the bottom chamber back on, slide the wick with a screw driver next to where the channels flows into the chamber and finish assmebly.
I was having problems when I thought too much- just saying

There is or can be a tricky balance between how hard you suck, the amount your air flow control is screwed open or closed & how much juice is or is not being pulled into the coil chamber. If one or more of your variables are 'off' you will be Vaping fine then 'WHAM' dry hit.

is it possible my double pulls is the reason I end up with dry hit after 3 or 4 pulls... it's like enough juice is never getting sucked into the chamber to keep up I have to either primer pull or let it sit for a few minutes regardless of how much wick I use.. also maybe I'm not sucking hard enough?

May want to try rayon or try 2mm coil with the cotton.
Also after it's closed up and filled cover the air hole and blow into the drip tip 3 or 4 times, instead of primer puffs- this tend to get the whole vacuum pressure thingy started.

Thanks much for the blow after fill advice I always wondered if my pressure was right. I only fill halfway because of this

That alone can be part of the problem they're designed to work on vacuum and hydronic
Pressure. So if you never establish that it won't work right. That's one of things that makes top filling tricky also. It's tempting when you're on the go, to not need a screwdriver but if you don't do it right it can be a pain in the rectum.
Someone told me about the "blow" trick and I thought they were nuts, but, low and behold it works.

Ya, voltage, wattage, doesnt matter.. I dont think I have done a wick 3/4 the dia yet, though. Might be an idea. I have done just slightly under the dia though. I'll get it.. sooner or later.

When I finally figured it out; I was shocked at how little wick I actually needed.
Confession- I took it to a damn b&m just for them to wick it right.
I didn't know if ECF yet and was at my wits end. I saw its potential and finally went and Said "make it work" but to see it in a pic they are all up close so in your head it's compared to the other parts looks big. When you're looking at it in your hands it's smaller than you would think.

And if you have it too high in Vt or Pt it will be more likely to burn the wick and dry burn.

The White House has significantly modified proposed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) tobacco regulations, so that the online sale of e-cigarettes is not restricted, Reuters reported Wednesday.

Charged with analyzing the economic implications of policy, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) looked in detail at the FDA draft, which had included a prohibition of non-face-to-face sales, in effect banning online sales.

OMB changed the language, so that the ban applies only to vending machines. Due to lobbying from the cigar industry, OMB also addressed cigars, modifying the existing two-part rule which separates regulated from unregulated into a two-option rule, which exempts premium cigars.

Exactly what I was thinking after I received my EHPro KFL on Wednesday. "Man, those screws are tiny! And close together!"

The 28g Kanthal came in today, so I wound a coil on a 1/16" drill bit. Whoops, wrong direction. Wound another, counter-clockwise this time, with about 13 turns just for luck. Struggled for about 20 minutes trying to mount it properly. Dropped it on the floor twice.

Cut off a sliver of Koh Gen Do cotton pad, inserted it into the coil and trimmed the ends. Primed the wick and arranged it against the deck. Installed the chimney. More juice on the wick and coil, couldn't hurt. Put on the top hat, tank and end cap, then injected 3mL of juice into the tank.

Put it on the Provari and checked the ohms-- 1.4, about what I was aiming for.

Moment of truth: hit the fire button and took a puff. Vapor! Took a drag. Good vapor, and lots of it! It works! Happy happy!

Been vaping this sucker for about an hour and realized that I'd filled it with 24mg juice instead of the 12mg I'd planned to use... nic overdose now, so I think I'll go to bed.

My Tobecco KFL looks like the bottom. I've watched all the videos on micro coils and I built it with 5/64" 8 to 10 wraps 2 ohms + cotton wick. On my sixth try and I still get cotton taste on the exhale. The taste is very poor on the exhale vs my Aerotank. The intake is surprising very nice but I guess for some reason the cotton can't wick fast enough for the exhale.

I'm done for now, ordered some Rayon if that doesn't work then I'm sticking to the aerotank, so far its superior in every way except the cost of coils/heads.

My own cheapie nano kit is like the one on the bottom also. I never could get any kind of decent vape out of it using really good organic cotton that had worked just fine till I used the nano rings instead of the full sized ones. So I put it away. Then I got into all that rayon hooraw, and hey, suddenly the nano works just fine. I really don't know why, but I find I don't really care, either -- I had given up on the nano, till I tried it with the rayon, and it's a world of difference.
