I bet that Noone really thought one day they will be shooting themselves on youtube and teaching people to wrap coils. Also I bet not any modders thought one day that vaping will change his life and make him a business man. vaping turned out a weird phenomenon. It should be in history or guiness booking for breaking some record. The fastest trending hobby maybe? Really it is fascinating to see the transformation. I'm a 3 years vaper in August. I spent more money, I left a lot of hobbies untouched, it became an obsession lol.
Ditto to the T. it's also been 3 years for me and in that time all my other hobbies have ceased.

So you guys are saying that we don't get over this? I'm about 7 months in and it has taken over my life since the second day I was vaping. In the beginning, I figured it was therapy, helping me overcome my 36 year habit. Now I'm not so sure. I'm certain I'm not going back to cigarettes, but I'm every bit as obsessed with it as I was the first week; maybe more.

For you it will be worse because in our days there was no explosion of mods and atties wherever you look. Good luck lol.

I am 12 months in today (or so), after prolly 30+ years of smokin'. Seems like all I do is work, chase my wife from time to time, and buy Kafuns. Ordered 2 more today. Still cheaper than smokes, and unlike cigarette butts, I can always unload vapeware to somebody for cash if I recover from this neurosis. Kayfuns are shiny and they don't stink.

Plus, I seem to have been infected by the same virus that afflicts Qorax. Bought a 2nd Semovar so that I don't have to change colored display windows as often. Huh. Never expected to be a pimp my vape kinda guy, but there ya' have it.

Yeah, I remember that search for the perfect filler for the cartridges. Blue foam, tea bags, tricks with coffee stirrers, punched rubber caps. All before the first cartomizer. Compared to that craziness and frustration, learning to build coils and wick atomizers has been a breeze.

You really should change your avatar.

it is so weird because I know the oil is a guy and the avatar is of the wife, but because I see a womans face, I still think im posting to a woman. even the posts by oil feel like they are written by a woman in context, when they are not, and the only reason I feel like its a woman writing them, is just because I see a womans avatar. very strange

Huh... Between me and the wife, we spent $550 a month on smokes... I think I hit that amount in vapeware and juice the second month in... Havent come close to that since even though I buy, buy, buy.. :vapor:

I kind of been thinking about it. 3 years of not smoking so at 1 1/2 packs a day, that's about maybe 7 dollars a day? (not even sure what a pack costs anymore?) 7 x 365= 2,555.00 per year x's 3= 7,665.00. just did some figures and tbh, its about the same, I have spent what money I have saved on smokes and used it on vaping stuff. when you actually sit there and figure out what stuff you actually have purchased in vaping gear, it adds up. juice, batteries, chargers, mod holders, multimeters, resistance checkers, wire, torches, mesh, wicking materials, tools, silver polishes, brass polishes, extra orings and parts, magnifying glasses, magnifying lamps, syringes, extra bottles and nipples, blunt tip needles, drill bits, and that's not even including all the mods, attys, and cheap crap I started on.

yes a bird from Australia right?

Funny. I thought I was from New Zealand.

Also your post above made me cringe over how much I might have potentially spent on vaping. I refuse to think about it. Attys alone would be more than a grand easily :/

Funny thing just happened. Left my kfl+ in the pocket and when I took it out to vape, the airflow was ridiculously tight.

Given that I have a vertical microcoil build in it, I assumed the cotton got bumped outta place and it clogged up the airhole. Disassembled, rewicked, vape, and it was the same.

Spent the next 10 mins trying to troubleshoot it.

Turns out the AFC grub screw made its way AAALL the way in; I had completely forgotten about the AFC on my kfl+

Still, there are more expensive hobbies... $2500 a year aint bad at all.. What is that? ~$210 a month? Cheap cheap..
