I used to use 1/16 with organic cotton, and was limited to 15 watts. Using 5/64 and 3/32 let's me go up to 19 or 20 watts

Using 1.9mm diameter 28 gauge contact coil with 8 wraps. Beautiful at 20 watts.

And there will soon be a KF4 Clone thread, I'm sure. I got an email for a Tobeco clone pre-order today.
Well my feelings towards the KF4 now are turning more towards joy rather than guilt. It is really a pleasure to have a kayfun with all those enhancements. The top filling and the deck mainly are my preferred changes.
Is that KF4 a KF lite?! If not,... what you doing here telling us about it?! j/k We really just need a single thread for KF, IMHO

I have a coil on the deck, no matter how much I squeeze it or fiddle with it, it glows from one side to the next when dry firing before wicking. I can't get it to glow from the center out. I know I could just put a new one on, and this may seem trivial, but I'd like to know why this happens to avoid in the future. What's going on with my coil? Thx

Is it a contact coil or is it spaced? Is the diameter of the coil consistent, or is it maybe just a bit wider at one end?
And is it a KFL, KFL+, KFL+v2, Tobeco, Hcigar, EHpro, Infinite, ...? Is it from FT, FC, Intatste, Artemus, ...??
