Next time try & keep both tails (of the coil) at opposing ends and thus, in the same plane.
coil looks good, definatly better then the other one. you can mount the coils in a lot of directions, some do slight angles, some straight across. this is how I mount the actual coil if you haven't seen it before.

The ring I have is about the same. The battery on my caliper died so I can't get a very accurate measurement. Could it be the positive post sticking out too far?

IDK... I have two KFL (one from the first batch at Vaperev and one from the last batch at inTaste) and they both fit the same. Could it be the Provari instead ???

gave the KL another try but trying something i've never used before: cotton.

micro coils 28g 8/9 wrap on 3mm diameter screwdriver. 1.8 ohms. a little high but testing a tank of juice. so far its wicking well with no leaks. needs a couple primer puffs to get it started. will def try a 1ohm coil after.

i have a bag of cotton balls and the amount i used is at least 1/50 of one ball. i dont have to buy anymore wicking materials! ive ordered more 28g from temco so im sure this will last all year and more. i also like not having to redo an entire coil. take out cotton dry burn replace cotton and go. i shouldve done this sooner...

Just go to any store and buy a bag of 100% pure cotton balls for a few bucks.

Thank you digital!! :)
mmm I ever have done my resistence of 2 mm sillica fiber, 5 laps and setup 8 with kanthal 0,2mm. I would like to try micro resistence as you. With kanthal 0,2 mm 32AW. Would I do a setup?
I want to do as this:

Thank you!! :)

EDIT POST:

I want to make resistance like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vU8WLGQjlg8 # t = 1659

But i have several questions:

1 -. What is the best kanthal that works?
2 -. Where I can buy it on ebay?
3 -. The lace where you have to perform the rotation of kanthal, what is the diameter?

Thank you very much!

I run micro coils & cotton wicks on my KFL. I watched tons of videos on the setup before I tried it. I am in no way master at it, but it's not a complicated setup to build either. I wrap 30g kanthal wire 10x around a 1/16" drill bit; ohms out @ 1.5. Raise the coil off the air hole and vape!

Looks like someone needs to check out the micro coil thread!

Thank you!! :D

I want more or less... 1,6-1,8 ohms...

With nichrome 0.20mm / 0.008" / AWG 32 can i do?

Using two wires side by side and wrapping a single coil duelly works really well with 32ga. Keep the coils as tight spaced as you can, touching if possible but a little separation here and there is ok also. I'm thinking 7 wraps (14 coils) on 1/16th should give you ~ 1.7 but I can't remember for sure so you'll need to experiment with that a little.

Ok! Mm... I have a needle of 1,2mm x 40mm.
how many wraps should I give the wire with needle? is that I have not understood well that is 1/16= 1,58 mm but my needle has 1,2 mm...

thank you!

Hi, pls use this Resistance Wire Calculator to know what 'length' of wire you will need for your target resistance.

For example: To get a 1.6Ω coil with a 32AWG wire you will need 3.4cms long wire. Now wrap that in whatever number of rolls it takes and it'd still be 1.6 ohms.

For those interested, here is a set up of a Kayfun with ceramic and cotton. Works beautifully.

More info needed :)
What is the diameter of the ceramic wick you're using?
Did you wrap the coil right on the wick?
Is the cotton just laying over the ends or is it stuffed in between the end and the metal sleeve?

That will work but it will be hard to get the wick in, especially if you plan on using silica. Cotton is easier but I'd still recommend going to at least 1/16th in. I think (not sure) that's a 16ga needle if you have one of those. Try to find a nail, drill bit, tooth pick or something a little bigger. Here's a post of a small coil showing it can be done if you want to stick with the needle you have. There's lots of good info and pictures in the thread but it is getting hard to find because the thread is so big lol. I'd think about seven wraps of double wire should get you is the ball park but use the calculator qorax posted. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ncrease-vapor-flavor-th-439.html#post10482666
