The Chimney is already snug-fit to the top cap, thus sturdiness might not be an issue.
Thanks for all the info on the poly clear tank...I finally took it off and switched to steel...I have been vaping banana and swedish fish for over a year on my DID and then Dream and didn't have any problems. I wish someone could come up with a clear material that could work on the Kayfun.
Question...I loved the k lite for the first few days so far but started getting a burnt taste. I noticed the "positive pole" which has the center hole was not really in the center of the circle. I forced it center and now I am back to loving it. Has anyone ever had this problem? Why does that thing move?
The positive screw in the 510 connection screws directly into that "positive pole" If I understand you correctly. Make sure that is tight, and you shouldn't have any problems...
9ball aj, I got the name "positive pole" from the manual. It is the piece the has the screw on top of it. That is what moved on me and I don't see anyway to tighten it down. Also the plastic base that the "pole" sits on is off also. Very strange but I am ok as long as it does not move again.
Many have brought this up on many screw type clear tanks but, just too tough to thread any type of glass.
I am not up on the techy name but my Did and Dream had some type of clear plastic tank that worked great.
See pic below, part 1g screws directly into part 1e. If you grab 1e with a pair of needlenose pliers, you can tighten down the screw 1g. This should fix your issue.
No, I am talking about 1e and 1I....both those were not straight which cause the center hole not to be in the middle of the whole piece
Hmm, maybe there is a 3rd piece in there I am unaware of. I took mine apart last night and when re-assembling, I did exactly as I described in my last post. Not sure what to suggest...
Just wanted to mention that cotton yarn works amazingly well in the lite. I used silica for my first build and it worked well but I could always taste the silica in the background and I really don't like that. I did a yarn build, let it soak overnight and today it's working great. Taste is perfect and it's wicking like a champ. I also had some minor gurgling and a few spots of light leakage out of the air hole with the silica and so far none of that with the cotton.
I've got my tank filled right now and it will last me a day or two. It's just a build that is a 3/4 of 30g kanthal wrapped around a 3/32 drill bit and mounted diagonally across the air hole. Then I threaded in a doubled over piece of sugar and cream yarn, trimmed and tucked it according to the user guide. Then I soaked the chamber wick before closing it up. After that I put it all together filled the tank and let it soak overnight. Hope this helps.

Keep it bro. I'm loving my K-Lites... 3-days into it, excellent vape quality, liquids had never tasted like this before, no leaking (from anywhere) - I'm now successfully & happily keeping my mods flat rolled (no more Genny-style stand-up worries), the juices also are lasting longer (this thing is a frugal drinker). I'm rather thinking of replacing everything of mine with K-Lites.
