K lites are great. I agree. The best rba to date? I guess it depends.
I've had two of them for a couple weeks now. I ordered two more yesterday, because I'm shelving a couple of my genys that I just don't care for.
The K Lite has some nice advantages. It sets up easily. It doesn't leak when laid on it's side. Heck, you can even hold it upside down and it doesn't leak. The flavor and vapor production are great.
However, I can't honestly say that the flavor and vapor surpasses that of a well set up geny. Close to, or equal, maybe. Currently, my best performing devices are my two DIDs, set up with ss mesh wicks, and 28ga kanthal, metering at .8 ohms, on my Poldiacs. But, they have to be handled with care, because of the glass tanks. I've yet to surpass those set ups with my K Lites, with my micro coils and cotton wicks.
So, I guess I would say that if I were starting out today with rebuildables, and had never set up a genesis type, I'd be very happy with the K Lite as my "go to" RBA. But, having been setting up and using genys for quite some time, I can't say that I'd abandon all of my genys, and begin using K Lites exclusively. But, they are a great device, and the best innovation to come along in a while.JMO

I agree completely with all of the above. My DIDs have slightly better flavor than the KFL and quite a bit more vapor production.

However, in my arsenal, the king of flavor and vapor is still a dripping RDA...especially a dual coil setup. :vapor:

Great point, It makes me happy to see a vet suggest a subjective opinion.
Like I have said, the newer members to this game skipped many rebuildable atomizers, if not all and went from Kanger/Vivi/Carto straight to KFL and claim industry best. I enjoy my KF's but, imo not the best.

I esp enjoy a correctly set up high end genny. The flavor imo is much cleaner than eko/silica and I am an eko fan. In fact my GP Spheroid's hands down win the flavor race.

One thing I've never experimented with is high end drippers. I don't know why. They've just never interested me. But I've been a confirmed ss mesh geny user for over a year. I got there via cartomizers, carto tanks, CE2s (about 4 versions), Phoenix Bottom Coils, Vivi Novas, etc. Every step seemed like a better vape than the last.
So far, I don't see the K Lites as a step ahead. But that's just me. They are more of a step sideways. I think they're great. But, for me, they are just another option for a good vape.

The Spheroid for me was just 'meh'...I liked the flavor and vapor, but I had to change wicks out too often and eventually sold it - kind of my same experience with the KFL. I like to run pretty low ohms and the wick gets gunked up pretty quick with my ADV DK Tab, especially when it's constricted in a small space.

You certainly don't need a 'high-end' dripper to experiment...you can get almost the same performance from a $5 FastTech dripper as you can from a Terminator or Nimbus - it's all in the coil build and air flow. If you don't believe me, watch a few of this guys videos:

same for me.. I have a DID set up with mesh, 28g, .8Ω on a Roller and it's my favorite vape. But it's not ideal to carry out and about. I do carry it with me everywhere but it would be nice to have something that I didn't have to babysit. ( I skipped the bottom coils and went from carto tanks to vivi novas LOL) I have an IGO-L and it's great but it pretty much never leaves my desk because I'm not going back to carrying a bottle around with me :glare:

I'm still having trouble with my KFL, I've rewicked several times over the last couple days and it's awesome for the first few minutes and then I start getting dry hits and then they turn burnt. I can cover the air hole and take a quick suck or two on the mouth piece and get juice into the chamber and it vapes awesome again until the juice in the chamber runs out. My juice channels aren't blocked. I don't know if I have too much or not enough wick down in the chamber. I've watched Todd wick his with silica and he's got much more wick than I do. I figure cotton, when wet, is heavier than silica and I worry about it expanding and blocking the channels.. I keep taking it apart and checking the placement of the tails. I think next time I take it apart (which will be real soon) I'll add a bit more cotton in the chamber and see if more helps

EDIT
I think I figured out what is happening... I'm not sucking on it hard enough LOL... since I had some juice popping, i've been trying to do the long, slow smooth draws and it's been since then I've had wicking issues... so I just tried sucking harder and it's wicking. Either that or it saw me threaten to take it apart again.

I have to change my coil every 3 days using boba's bounty. On my lighter juices I get 5-7 days which is fine. Im a long drag chain vaper. Tonight I'm going to try dual coil @around 1.2ohm total and see how that goes. Hopefully less power per coil keeps the gunk away.

Tip2: Never overfill the Kayfuns. It's wise to keep it at li'l near 3/4ths full. That way there's enough room for the pressurization system to play and it feeds the firing chamber better/correctly. Which in turn, gives us a continuos flow of vape while drawing.

I typically keep the juice level shy above the clear window's brim while filling-up, which tends to be about 3.5ml (never @ 4ml, though the tank's capacity is around 4.2ml+)... AND I'm yet to have any wicking / dry-burn issues with any of my K-Lites.

Finally received a lite and its my first one. I am having some trouble. Set it up last night and it was working great but when I went to use it this morning after my first vape it started leaking out the air hole and I can't get it to stop. Any suggestions? Thanks

I do about the same. I fill mine just to where the clear window meets the stainless. I've yet to have a dry hit, which, from what I hear, is pretty awful with cotton.
