Jaynole,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post.

What is your resistance on that coil assembly? I'm guessing right around 1.0 ohms??

I'm ashamed to say, I haven't a clue. My vv/vw paper weight won't read below 1.3 and madvapes hasn't got their meters back up yet. I was getting around 1.8 or so with the same coil w/ 30awg, so I'm guessing it's close to 1, definitely not a subohm explosive device, lol. This particular coil has been untouched minus a dry burn every couple of tanks or so for 3 weeks. I will say my vape is better with the 28 than with 30. The coil seems to hold up better.

A quick pic of my life savers.

You missed a matte brushed stainless bottom ring on the right mod vs the left mod to make them completely negative of eachother. Thats a good looking set of devices!

I use a Provari so subohm doesn't work for me. That's why I use 30ga and you're correct...they settle in at 1.8 omhs. That's a 10 wrap with 2mm (5/64) ID. I would kind of like to use 28 ga for the reasons you suggest.

You're getting 1.8ohms from a 10/9 wrap with 2mm id from 30awg kanthal? I'm getting that with a 7/6 wrap with 1.5mm id on my multimeter. (Subtracting the lead's resistance shorted against eachother from the final assembled atty's reading)

Yea, I love the Sigelei 8w buttons. Threw them on my 19's because I couldn't stand the 19 button.

Does anybody have the Taifun GT? How does it compare to the Kayfun Lite?

I have one. I like it as well as the Kayfun Lite. Better in some respects. Vape quality between the two is a toss up. I like the TF look a little better; but that's just opinion. I like the fact that the tank can be taken off, if you need to change wicks, without emptying.

Yepper, that is what I get. Measured on my Provari and VAMO. Did you roast your coils together?

I snipped out the video to save some space. Just wondering. What is that tank stuff thingy used in that vid? Looks like some o-ring pyrex tube capable something?

Kayfun can also be outfitted with a full size see-thru tank. They have a name for it but I can't remember what it is. I'm guessing InTaste, Cloud9, and VapeRev sells it. One of them at least.

Aha! Found it. Still plastic tank with threading. Was hoping there was some clever way of fitting a pyrex tank. I'll just stick to the SS tank. Thanks tho!

Hey guys! Did my first microcoil on the KFL. pulls 1.11 on like 9/10. first cotton wick was super tasty but too thick and wicking suffered from pinching - so it burned, and tasted like burning trash lol.

made one much smaller and it hasn't burned - but the flavor is fairly muted and cotton-y. Coil perhaps too far off the air hole?

Pretty underwhelmed with flavor so far. :/
