I've got one of my dids up for trade in the classys. I figured I'd have better luck trading it for another kfl than just selling it outright since many people post that they can't seem to get their kfl to wick.. but so far, no interest. genesis stuff just doesn't seem to be reselling like it once was. It doesn't really matter if it goes or not.. micros and cotton has breathed new life into my genes.

I had my AGA on the classies for a few days. Never got a hit on it. I sold it to an ECF friend on a other thread who happened to mention he just busted his Genny. So he bought mine. I got lucky. I think Some of the Gennies are losing favor. The RSSTs seem to be well received but the AGA's not so much. They are very finicky.

With my builds cotton performs much better than silica and my coils of the two different materials are different too. Can you explain how you build your set up with silica? Thank you.

I use a regulated mod (Provari) for starters. I use 30ga Kanthal, 10 wraps, 2mm inside diameter. Comes to 1.8 ohms. I fill the coil with (4) strands of 1.0mm silica (doubled over and grabbed in the middle with a Kanthal fish tape). The silica fits in pretty tight but I never get dry hits. The silica unravels and I like it that way.

Heh, I have a "plan" and evershifting "plan" of what to buy next. Right now I'm about to FINALLY receive my EVODs and Ego Minis in the mail any moment (been stalking the mail man for 2 hours) and after this I'm getting another KFL and some Fusions Mods hybrid adapters as soon as they become available. After that I might just get another Neme Mod and two more KFL's and give away the EVODs after seeing the K Nano conversions posted a few pages back.

That makes for a nice 5-year plan for me. :)

For me, diy isn't about replicating something as much as it is creating my own mixes. The juices that I make aren't complicated at all and are very tasty. As much juice as I go through I'd be broke, or broker if I had to buy store bought juice. It's as simple or complicated as you want to make it. Too many overthink it. You'd be good at it I'm sure. I've listed my current favorite recipes in my blog.

I hear ya, its just that it has taken quite along time to find just 3 all day vapes which I really enjoy. I guess I can still vape and buy them while experimenting with diy. thinking about it I do spend a lot of money on juices which can be spent on more devices maybe. will check out your recipes, thanks

Has anyone tried a well twisted 32g wire in a micro coil?

I've got my K-Lites built with 2mm micros. 30g, 9 wraps around 2ohm. Those are working just fine.

I did a twisted 32 around 3/32 cable wick and a 2mm eko sleeve on my RSST. It gave me a 1.5ohm coil with a tight 3/4 wrap. I was curious how it would perform as a micro. The wire is really tightly twisted and is almost like a single solid strand of 28g.

I suppose it would work pretty well and might give a little more coverage but also might produce a slightly harsher flavor imo. tbh I haven't tried it in the kay lite but have done this in genesis devices and found that in the end I preferred a single wrap just as much.

I never bought an AGA because I kept reading about people having so much trouble with them. I started out with a cheap did clone and while it's not something I would recommend.. it worked just well (and long) enough to give me a taste of what a genesis could do. So I went ahead and bought the real thing. The RSST is just plain awesome.. so easy to get set up. It's not expensive enough that it bothers me when it sits unused for a while.

I'm just not into mesh anymore but micros and cotton work just as well and better in a genesis for me. For mesh to be any good, it has to be in a sub ohm coil (.8Ω) and on a mech. I do keep one DID set up that way. Just too much trouble considering it has to be kept upright. A micro and cotton has to be kept upright also, but not quite so much and it's way easier to work with. The DIDs seem to be still quite popular and well regarded. If it doesn't sell or trade, I'm not too concerned. I've got a micro and cotton in it right now and it's probably the best vape I've ever had... or close to it. Maybe I should close the thread LOL.

I'm just spoiled by the kfl.. too easy to build and I can leave it lying down and not worry about leaking. I just ordered a Fogger V2.. I'm not too sure about it but it's all ss and pyrex glass.. I need something else to play with :glare:

Diver, I have been vaping nearly a year and a half and have sampled 100 juices. I have only one true ADV. Then I have about a dozen I like on a few-times-a-week basis. I don't think I'll get to 3 ADV's. :)

well the other 2 are pretty good but like you i do have one that's great. i may have you beat in the juices that i have tried, in my first year of vaping i was ordering about 5 juices a week, i thought vaping was cheaper then cigs? not in my case.

i still have my original aga-t, with red orings. this is the best cheapest genny i have ever owned. its all ss and still vapes as good as any of my hi end gennys. its just not worth trying to sell it because how much can you really get for a used aga?

Ha! No Diver...I never used the eGo batt with my KFL (or anything else for that matter). I have that eGo in the bottom of my junk box from my early days. It's not even VV. I used it when I was testing Yeti's subohm KFL because it was the closest thing to a mech I had. I also use it to dry burn on occasion (as I did in the photo). Definitely looks wonky. Wouldn't want to be seen outside of my home with that thing.

Oh yes, it can get very expensive! I'm pretty sure my estimate is low...just afraid to admit it publicly. :)
