today while doing a couple of different set-ups on the lite I noticed something, I also have that darn mark on my deck. its not a scratch though because its not really indented, its just a mark. that entire flat deck has some patterns to it, on one side the finish is kind of different, its like the grain in the metal is patterned. anyways I just think this mark is in the pattern, or the way the machine did the finish on the metal. anyways I guess I have a defective k-lite

Just because I can and the football game doesn't interest me, I rebuilt an EVOD head. 30ga, 8-9 wrap micro on 16ga needle. I threaded cotton yarn thru and then folded it back over the coil. It came in at 1.8Ω and vaping at 4.7v. This thing is blowing clouds of vapor and it takes the EVOD to a whole new level. Ntt and other EVOD/PT users check it out.

Now that I said that, Wash just made it interesting :D

that's pretty much how I rebuild my wifes mini protank, 30g/ 8 wraps and similar resistances. instead of cotton I use some german silica, I use this instead of cotton so I don't have to rebuild her coils as much. anyways I thread the silica through (which is a pain)and on the top like you. its a pretty darn good vape.

Thats similar to how I'm doing my EVODs. 7 wrap 30awg micro on a 1.5mm allen key with a piece of rolled cotton from a cotton ball through the coil and am extra smaller piece of rolled cotton on top. 1.6ohms and they vape marvelously on my Ego Minis.

I had watched so many videos on the KFL that the day I got it I made a coil and wick for it in less than 5 minutes. :p

Me too that's why I love these so much. I have found to date..that I prefer Silica over Eckowool but not done experimenting just need more time....

yes like STATE mentioned its all about experimenting. I haven't tried as big of a coil like he so not really sure, but for me because I prefer lower resistances I haven't gone to large with my diameters. who knows if I get some 22g wire along with my dna-20 mod I might find that a 3mm diameter macro coil the bomb. anyways I do think the most popular set-up for the provari and 28g wire is on a 1/16 or 16g needle about 10 wraps for resistances of approximately 1.3ish. this set-up on the provari v-2 gives you the max wattage and amps allowed which is 15 watts and 3.5 amps.

I'm gonna need to get an extension tube and stack two, 18650's!!!

I've seen people using cotton, silica and mesh but has anyone used Nextel for the wick? If so how does it compare to the rest?
Got shipping confirmation from Pedro today so my Vela is sailing my way... I'll soon be wrapping this KFL and just want to see what people thoughts on Nextel for the KFL was.... Also got confirmation on my VA Kraken USA702 :) So in the zone right now

So it is my belief that with all the recent happenings of members dropping their devices, specifically Kayfuns, that is the reason I dropped mine today as well. Until today, I hadn't dropped any of my equipment, but I guess it was bound to happen.

My KF became ajar at the middle section. I applied pressure to the top in a downward manner, and popped it right back together. No leaks, no cracks ;)

I don't have a single gear which I hadn't dropped sometime:)

It's why my high end mods and RBAs rarely leave my cave, which has a carpeted floor. I have a couple beaters, for when I'm out and about.

Can someone please tell me how coil proximity to the airhole effects vape production, TH, vape warmth etc? Is it better to have the coil right above it or have some space? Btw, I'm running a micro and cotton at 0.8 ohms with 28 gauge wire if that makes a difference

The closer the coil is to the air hole, the more vapor, and less throat hit. Further away from the air hole, the vapor will decrease, and the throat hit will increase.

Guys, I'm seriously considering this device and have been reading about it for a little while. I hate my ZAP. It's just too much of PITA for me to deal with. I noticed some folks have dropped their device and it still works. Is it that durable? Can you fall asleep in bed with it and wake up the next morning to find it completely together and no juice leaks? I noticed one post somewhere that said they don't like to travel with it. Can you throw it in your pocket or lay it on it's side? I'd be using this with a Provari by the way. Thanks.

The only leaks I have noticed are from user error. The Kayfun/Kayfun Lite are fabulous devices. Purchase with confidence.

My kfl is used everyday especially for work. It sits on top of my Provari mini and I pocket it all the time. They are very durable and do not leak for me. Combined that with ease of build and reliability I'm not sure I can get any better combo at the moment. YMMV. :vapor:

Are you folks strictly using this now or are you using traditional tanks and dual coil carto's (for example) for certain situations? Also, is there a lot fiddling required with it like with a ZAP? Lastly, how would you describe or compare the draw? I can't stand the draw on a Kanger so if it's anything like that, please let me know. Thank you again.

Has anyone taken a Kayfun on a flight? I posted a while back that I would suspect that it would leak profusely like most tanks would, but has anyone actually done it?

I have. Toronto - Amsterdam - Dubai. 18hrs. No issues. Oh yes, made some new friends at the A/port Smoking Lounges... and one confirmed convert
