I had same problem. Was getting constant dry hits from all the builts I did (Micro/Cotton, Ekowool, Figure 8 Silica) over the course of 1 month. Always thought it was my poor coild building skill or something. The main gears I use are OMEGA RDA dual coils at 0.6ohm on my mech which puts out very good flavor so it wasn't detrimental that I couldn't get my Kayfun/Russian to work. Switched juice recently and it worked immediately. Tried about 4 more new builts with 4 more different juices and all wicked every single time. I didn't even bother with Micro/Cotton or Ekowool and not even figure 8. Just 3mm silica folded once, 6 wraps 28 gague which comes out to 1.1ohm. Worked okay on the mech but works much better on my Provari vaping at 4 volts (sometimes I can get up to 4.1) before E2 error pop up. I was planning to experiment with sub-ohm coils so I can use it on my mech but I'm too scare to. LOL. After 1 month of frustration, I finally locked down a build I can get to work every time so I am not planning to do anything different for a long while. I have 4 provaris collecting dusts anyway, and finally I can put them to good use.![]()
at 1.1 ohm it has to work better on a vv device because you can use much more voltage with it. usually the voltage with a mech after voltage loss is about 3.8v, and that's for a short time as it constantly goes lower. imo you need resistances at or below .8 ohms on a mech for it to be a more powerful vape then a vv device
