20+ watts here and no problem with fouling the tank

Well I just made my first official sub-ohm build. Dual 1.6ohm 2mm 30awg microcoils (7 wraps each) for a total of 0.8ohms. Put both coils side by side horizontally over the posts parallel to the decks with one cotton wick through each one laid over the deck.
I never even thought a sub-ohm vape would be this good. I was expecting a super hot vape with a massive throat hit and what I got surprised me. Its warmer for sure, but its not harsh at all. The flavor feels even cleaner, the vapor production is obviously through the roof but I did not expect such a smooth throat hit and flavor. I might just write off getting a Kick 2 completely after trying this and seeing what a 17watt vape is like. Now to see how drastically my battery life gets affected. I could go over half of my day with a single 18500. We'll see where this takes me but damn!!

My 18650's get about 7ish hours with a .7 build so you will probably need about 3(maybe 4)18500 batts.
Thanks VapeDivr, but wow, that's really high. Are you just saying that I could go higher if I wanted to? My feeling in general is to keep the voltage setting as low as possible. That way you're not burning juice and extending battery life. If that's the case, then I'm fine keeping it at 3.8v. Once you burn the juice, it will mix in with the rest of the juice and kill the flavor of what you're holding in the tank.

I have heard of some people say that certain juices will crack the plastic tank but no issues so far for me. All the citrus/fruit juices have been fine so far but time will tell. Have not tried any cinnamon yet.Just got my kfl and got a couple questions. Can the plastic tank get cracked by certain juices? Can you lay the kfl on its side? Noticing slight leakage with the top portion of the plastic tank. I'm gonna try out one of the spare o-rings
polycarbonate tank cracking juices will affect the KFL but dunno about the other questions, don't have one yet but please keep us posted on your first impressions when you get it broken in! i like to live vicariously through my fellow rba'ers

Talking to my mom over the phone may reduce battery life two-fold, fair warning folks. Also anything tech support related with grandparents can cut down those numbers by half.

Interestingly enough, should you ruin a KFL tank, supposedly, the Tobeco clone tank fits... for $5.Just got my kfl and got a couple questions. Can the plastic tank get cracked by certain juices? a dual coil is a terrific vape sub ohm for sure. I know a lot of people associate sub ohm with a much hotter vape and possibly a harsher vape as well, I beg to differ. I actually feel the complete opposite. when i vaped gennys i did many of builds, some at sub ohm, and some with the provari. i always compared the vapes and found that a sub ohm build had better flavor and a thicker and smoother vape. when i switched to micro and kayfun i did try the provari because people were saying that you didn't need to go sub ohm, and a 1.5 resistance coil was the same as sub ohm, rubbish! i still find a big difference in sub ohm with a micro coil. the last few days my provari has been calling me, its been lonely, so i made a few set-ups with it because i just like the way it looks with the kay lite compared to my particular mech. i did a nano coil at 1-ohm, i did a nano at 1.3 ohm, i did a 16g diameter at 1 ohm- 1.3 ohm- 1.5 ohm/ i also did a 5/64 diameter at a few different resistances also. non of these builds can match the flavor, smoothness, and vapor of a sub ohm build. granted you do have to deal with battery drain and inconsistent temperature with a mech, and less battery life i suppose, but i just pop in a fresh battery every few hours (no big deal) and as for battery life? i average at least 8 months to a year with my aw/imr 18650's although i have about 10 or so and use in rotation.
I think I must agree. One thing I noticed is that I have to take harder draws to keep the flavor full. If I take the soft draws I was used to taking the flavor drops off slightly but not so much as to get a dry hit, it just fades slightly. But just a single solid 2 second hit and I get a very satisfying vape. And if I man up and take a long hit I get a mouthfull of flavor. I think I'm feeling a little tighter in the lungs when I chain vape but nothing to bad.
How would you say the vape would change if I go with 28 gauge and do the same ohms in single or dual coil setups?
