Wow, wow, wow!!! Time out Lord!!! Please do yourself a very, very big favor. Chill!!!!! We are not going to war. We're just building a coil. You will get through it. We all did. So will you. Microcoils are not hard to build but to the noob it will take a little effort. Once you're through it, you'll realize it is not hard and you'll wonder why you fussed so much.
Start with vapedvrr's video. He uses 26 ga but don't worry about that. It works for your 30 ga as well. Make yours ten wraps. You need something that is about 2mm in diamter to wrap your wire around. Do you have anything like that? A 5/64ths" drill bit ='s 2mm. Do you have any drill bits?
Don't worry about your wick at this point. That comes very last. Just concentrate on making your coil using VapeDvvr's method.
So, I've gotta give even more props to VapeDivr again for this video. I finally went cotton and got it working perfectly. Don't think I'll be using Silica again. The key to this whole thing is making sure the end of your wicks don't extend down into the channels where the threads start. So far it's been working great for me and haven't had a dry hit. If your wicks are too long and go into the channels, it will eventually go dry.
Also, he says it in the video, but I want to stress that your hands have to be cleaned before you roll the cotton. It will take on even the lightest scent on your hands, so keep that in mind.
I have not been able to find, or least a confirmed 5/64th drill bit or 16g (2mm thick) syringe tip) around, and might have to just go buy one. I did find a nail that was twice as thick as my Zap syringe tip that I used. My coils are now reading 2.2 on my Provari, which I'm not sure is good. I believe that I might have 11 wraps though instead of 10 with 30g kanthal from LightningVapes. Any thoughts on that? It's been working fine, so I don't wanna mess with it unless you guys see this as a big problem?
