How's the airflow compared to the r91? I feel like I'm getting more intake on my 91 then my kfl+ and clone

I swung by my local B&M and there was a guy who had drilled out the air holes on his KFL+. Holy cow, I thought my builds were good! I was just glad that he was running 6mg juice or I likely would have had trouble getting behind the wheel to get to work.

U can drill the airhole to a certain size before it gets restricted from the airhole in the center pin.

He said that he also drilled out the center air channel, I suspect to work around some of that restriction. I didn't have a lot of time to get in deeper with him, and he wasn't in a place to break down his KFL, so I will be sure to pick his brain next time I run into him.
That's pretty risky drilling out the center pin.
Anyways I went ahead and picked up the v2 kfl+ at the shop... I thought it was $110 (how much it was when they had the previous kfl +). I'm not very thrilled paying the $20 markup + tax when I could have gotten it for $109 shipped from intaste but hey i thought id support my favorite local shop ....n didn't wanna look cheap by change my mind

please lemme know if you can, I am wondering if I can get the evaporator base from the kayfun lite, use it with the rest of the parts from my kayfun 3.1 clone (hcigar) and pretty much have a kayfun lite.

Progress report on the Kayfun Quartz Kit by Tarsius. Filling the device from the fill hole, even with a syringe, is a pain in the @##. I took it out to dinner with me last night. No leaks, no gurgles and pretty solid. I am only on day 2 with this set up, I would hate to let gravity test it.

Darn the v2 still has that infamous whistle. I took out the AFC screw to get rid of it but would have liked to keep it in there just in case.

Did you try beveling the edge of the airhole? Totally fixed my whistling issues.

sunnata, Yes i saw the new chimney. i want to test one out. Also a special list coming up tonight or tomorrow to get a 1 of cap from sov. I keep stalking his thread on FB. So you have a glass kit? How did you fill the tank? Mine is a pain & i have to go real slow. Using the fill hole at the bottom. I think next time i will fill from the top of the tank.
Well mine broke before I even tried it. One side would fit nicely, the other half would grind and catch the glass, tried it for nearly an hour, wouldn't go in smoothly. Finally, it snapped in half. I heard about the issues with refilling but I don't really understand the problem, inspecting it visually (adding the SS ring to the tank base), the fill hole seems completely unblocked.
Yes, i read the negative revues RE glass fit, broken when forced. So the first thing i did was lube the orings & put the end caps on the glass. It was perfect fit, smooth. Then installed on my R91, i just pushed fluid into tank from the bottle. Little messy, pushed juice past the upper o-ring. Vaped the 1st tank, then last night tried to refill tank with a syringe, the glass is 50% over the fill hole. So its not very friendly to refill. But since its a test menthol fluid, i do not care. So far I really like the glass tank. Let me know how the replacement tank works out.

Quick question: so I'm one of those idiots who will just vape on and on and on until I start vaping burnt cotton if I can't monitor the juice level. How are you folks who are using the metal mid sections keeping track of the juice level? At this point I have 8 of them just sitting around looking pretty, and I do love the look of a full metal KFL or R91.
