Having looked at pictures of the Positive pole insulator and the center pin insulator, I am certain that my KFL+ contained neither of these. I would have seen them when I first carefully disassembled it. I've sent an email to support at inTaste.
Stock insulator has a cup built in that fits into the center opening. Isolates the pin shaft. Yea, your was likely missing. Most have to be pryed out.

I don't think that is unreasonably low power ... In fact, if you take your average voltage you posted above, you get 3.85 volts ... That's 8.2 watts to your coil.
I am using a 1.5 ohm coil in my Kayfun ... I have found the "sweet spot" for this coil to be exactly 3.5 volts ... That's also 8.2 watts to the coil.
lol bought that 5pack insulator... last time i had to replace, just 1 costed as much as the 5 pack

Lol no. Only time I had to replace the base was when I lost it down the sink. My deck insulators are getting thin though.

My deck insulator is getting a little smashed and hence lopsided. Have a replacement, but hoped to find a base insulator or two or three to have for my next disaster at the sink. My luck I did not see the rip in the sieve that let the insulator through. Have a new sieve after the fact....

What are you guys doing to go through insulators so fast!? Mine look as good as the day I got it, and I've had one KFL for 6 months!
Talk about going hook, line, and sinker..... I completely forgot about April's Fool Day....
+1. My oldest one is about that old too and it still looks great. Not that I'm complaining of course

I have a insulator eating drain in the kitchen and a sieve with holes in it.... bad combination!!
That's why I bought a nice little (ok not little since it had an 8 inch diameter) sieve. I've never had to use the spares I bought.
