That's good because I knew that was a concern you had before purchasing it. So what mod is going to run your new one?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I just have it on an SVD for now but I'll probably put it on the Neme mech and play around with it. Maybe give subohm another look. Using cotton wick at the moment. Airflow is set at midpoint. I've heard some say that all the way open equals the original. I find it to be airer at that setting. All the way in is quite tight so seems the midpoint is where I have it settling in. The new drip tip style works for me too so happy with that. It seemed a little lighter than the original. Could be my imagination though. I measured the wall thickness (.050") and will compare it to the original next time I have it apart. I believe it is the same but it just seemed tinnier. The plastic segment had lots of squish on the end and I had to carve that out with a sharp utility knife. The segments use only a couple threads too. The original uses more than that. So shallower threading on the Pluses. Beyond this, they perform identically. I'm using a 30ga, 2.0mm ID, 10 wrap micro on it. I have some 28 I'll piddle with again in time. Want to try some twisted 32 as well. Q got me fired up to try the twisted.

How was the diving? See anything interesting? I see they might have discovered the wreckage of the Santa Maria off the Haitian coast.

Air flow vertical hole? What the heck is that? My air flow hole is on the side. (And it occasionally farts )

santa maria! that would be a find for sure, gonna have to sneak over there and dive it! well I have both the kayfun lite (first ones) and also a couple kayfun lite pluses that I had purchased maybe 3 or so months ago and both tank sections are exact. the only difference I had seen is the air control screw and deeper fill hole. now maybe since my pluse there is a newer version plus, I don't know. did only 2 days of diving this trip for it was mostly land based this year but in the 2 days I did do I guess the highlight was (and usually is for me) a few sharks. I love observing them and trying to get some good videos although my housing flooded on my first dive so all video was a wash. I bought a 4-k video set up for diving about 3 years ago and now you can buy a 400.00 GO PRO that does almost the same thing. you should give the tw-32g a go for sure, I make mention to it in that last video I did and show a coil done with it, it is a very good coil and performs great.

I know the 3.1 kayfuns are on the side, and maybe its possible that there is a newer kayfun plus version that might have them in the side but I have 4 kaylites/ two reg and 2 pluses, none in the regular lites but in both my pluses they are in the bottom. is yours real or clone?

TO QORAX/////////////here is the kayfun lite duals, tw-32g- 10 wraps per coil/ 1.72 id/ 1.8Ω per coil/ I like this set up with my dna mod between 18 to 20 watts for its one of the better configurations that can handle 20 watts with great flavor consistently. as you can see in the pic, this lite was one that I tried to enlarge the channels (top & side) in order to run the wick tails down like the aqua, in the end I gave up because I didn't have a drill press and was trying to enlarge just with the side of a drill bit, after 4 bits I stopped and they weren't deep enough, they are however pretty deep compared to a stockfun. I like the orientation of this dual set up a little better because I am able to use a wider diameter coil without hitting the screw heads, also I find the wicking better because maybe of the shorter distance

Wow, I'd like to see some video of sharks.

I love that my liquids stay clean in Kayfuns. In gennies mine always turned very dark.

The wick will get trashed just the same though. I vape some nasty NETs and there has been no device that repelled gunk..Gennies included. Geez, the longer I'm removed from Gennies the more I realize how much those things sucked. And we all thought those were game changers.

I "wanted" a 26650 mech.. Tested out a Mutant this week. I just dont see myself carrying around such a large mod. I usually carry mods in 18350 size, like nano tanked kayfuns. I guess if i had a JOB, were i worked 12 hrs a day & had no extra batteries. A giant mod and atty would work well. Probably not a pocket friendly set up. Just using the Mutant this week scared my 18*** mods. But every one has there individual style and now, there are just more and more choices. I "want" a 26650 size atty n mod..... But my "needs" are over riding the purchase so far.
