My heron arrived missing one screw. They sent one immediately. I build my KFL's on my Provari. It helps me to rest my forearms on the table, and the ohm meter is too low for that.
Yaaa... I have a TR hybrid kit also, in the box under my desk. I have been eyeing this kit for a few months. Pulled the trigger yesterday & should have feed back for you friday. 20x1 Hybrid Connector by Versa Mods at Elevated Vaping – Elevated Vaping - Electronic Cigarettes and Vaping High Quality Eliquid
I usually ruin mine right off the bat, when I'm trying to compress it, and some wraps end up overlapping...

Try pressing softer. Your not compressing them in place as much as moving them in to place while hot. Usually I just hold them firmly (but not to firm) in place with needle nose pliers and then torch them while in the pliers. If you heat them up where you want them and let it cool down still in that position, they will stay. Not much pressure needed at all.
Patience of a SAINT??? HAH!!!!!!!! I doubt I have the patience of a FLEA!
I do have small fingers, however doing these coils means I've had to start keeping my nails cut short, which I really hate, but when my nails are long, I can't pick up ANYTHING! Especially not things as tiny as all this junk!
What I hate the absolute MOST is when I drop some tiny part off the counter... because I am blind as a bat. I start screaming profanities at the top of my voice, my husband runs in wondering who's killing me, and ends up looking for the bit for me, because I JUST CAN'T SEE IT!

Update!! Got it working great after messing with it. It was leaking with the new nano gaskets, so I put the ones that came with it back in and the leaking stopped. I couldn't get the air flow right adjusting the screw so I removed it completely. Currently using on a Silver Bullet with a kick, tastes fantastic and I don't even like mango juice that much. Thanks for all the help.
I must be the opposite, I use my nails like built in tweezers. Can't do anything with them short!
I'm glad it was me and not you who lost the airflow control screw in the grass the other day!!!
It's gone forever.But I didn't scream!

Nice, has anybody built there own stand? Can you find a nut at the hardware store that's 510 and stick it in a block of wood?
Sent from my slow sprint phone...
Is torching coils a popular thing?
I use to torch mesh for oxidation in my genesis days but with Kayfuns, I wrap, attach, and just heat on a mod - usually my ProVari - then tweeze while it cools. Do that a couple of times and voila ... a great coil. Not sure what the torching would do?
Thoughts on my first Kayfun build. Just built my first coil for the Kayfun Lite Plus today, which was surprisingly easy. I'm still trying to decide if I like it. I found that if I try to tighten up the draw, it leaks (I prefer the small air hole on the Nautilus). There's no gurgle or whistle, but there isn't much taste either. I used sterile cotton balls, 28g on a 3/32 drill bit to get 1.6 ohms for my ProVari. I haven't read through all 1000+ pages on this thread, but I'd love to hear any suggestions or tips on using the Kayfun Lite Plus. I've watched all the Youtube videos, btw, and found them quite informative, but I can't rave about it yet.
The leaking is a concern. Your KFL should not leak a molecule. Check to be sure all your orings are present and in good working order. Next, be sure all connections are snug.
Where is it leaking from? Is it a genuine Svoemesto KFL?
