Just built a parallel "inverted v" style coil on my kfl with 28g kanthal, 9-10 wraps, 4-5 per side. Came out to .9 ohms and is working great wicked with rayon at 22 volts on my dna30. I don't usually go below 1.2 ohms but was just experimenting. Anyone else tried a coil like this in their kayfun?

Like this but with less bend, leaving the coils at an angle rather than straight up.

Also it's a parallel coil so I used two wires. I'll post pics when I re wick but it's too good to take apart right now.

Yeah, it might. But we're gonna need thinner wire than the thinnest I could find, which is 24 gauge. I made a 2mm coil out of that and had to put a boatload of wraps on it to get a reasonable resistance:

The result was a coil that heated very slowly.

with my new drill press, I felt a lot more comfortable to drill my airhole out, This is the result, 5/64th building on it now. I got all the shavings out gave it a nice wash in hot water with dawn soap, but should I be concerned about the metal pieces bent out inside the 510 pin tube? its stuck on there.

in the video, looks like a twisted wire. and they're selling "0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 ohm ready wires" -- whatever that means. I emailed them for more details.

You know when you drill something and then there is some shavings I guess that are on the other end? Those. They are stuck on there though.
