Mine was more than that. Nothing from fasttech in my kit. And, I did not need the cooling fins. The completely flat top makes bottom fills a cinch even for a doofus like me.

I think I'm going try out a twisted 32 gauge coil later in the week. I usually use this calculator but I am not sure of the "twist pitch" field until I actually twist up some kanthal and bust out the caliper. I prefer 1.2 to 1.4 ohms, 3/32 inner diameter. Out of curiosity, about how many wraps would I need?
I find that approximate measurements for 28g work out well for twisted 32g. I would say you're looking at around 7/8 wraps of twisted 32 around a 3/32 drill bit to achieve around 1.2 - 1.4 ohms.
Apparently SM can't sell to the US and j cant find a US seller for just the base, also the cheapest i can find for the authentic is 97 USD. Before I pull the trigger wanted to see is anyone has a better idea?

I bought the bulk of mine from intaste.de. If you create a login for a US account, they will show you prices without VAT. Just checked, and it is about 63Euro or $84.50. The wrinkle is that intaste only ships FedEx which is about $20 no matter what. But, I buy my KLFs 2 or 3 at a time, plus some other goodies, so it works out for me.
It is also worth noting, that an intaste order might get to you in 2 days. A vaperev order might get put in a box in 2 days...
Buy two KFL+ V2s from intaste, certain to get the real deal, save 2 or 3 more bucks, and you will have 'em by mid-week. I hate vapemail. Speedy post rocks.
Save even more if your $97 deal does not include shipping. Or just buy one @$104.50 shipped by speedy FedEx.
I am not aware of any options other than vaperev in the US. Others seem to have found them in local B&M, but you will need to trust 'em.

Hmm, I bought my KFL Plus and KFMini from SvoёMesto. It was cheaper than InTaste by a few dollars. Of course, they shipped to Thailand, not the US.

This is for the whole unit though (w/full SS + clear tank section). It doesn't look like they sell the base by itself. 4,400 Rouble is round $123 US before shipping.
EDIT: When I bought mine it was only 3,300 Rouble. Sorry. InTaste would be cheaper.
