Ok so I can't find the video so I'll show you the best I can:

1) make a coil with loooong leads. You'll need to keep the drill bit through the coil

2) mount the coil onto the deck. Wrap a leg 180 degrees around the screw like shown below. The long lead should now lie UNDER the drill bit

3) wrap the leads half or one full loop UP around the drill bit. This creates a fixed tension on the leads, allowing you to capture the leads under the screws. Secure that lead and repeat for the other side

4) this is how it looks like before I trim the leads

Hope that helps.

Oh the one thing I forgot to mention is that when you wrap the lead around the drill bit, it's gonna create tension on the lead, thereby rotating the coil+bit. It's very important to keep the drill bit taut and in it's original position, or you'll lose the tension

Nice tip Kiwi...to bring the lead under and over the drill bit to help keep things in place.

Stole the idea in it's entirety from some low key reviewer on YouTube and my first thought was it is ingenious. It's definitely super useful for people who've had difficulty securing leads under the screws :)

Well its lasted an hour first ry, usually by now I would be burning the wick inside the coild so I guess this experiement showls my coils have hot spots. For me I think its easiest to just buy the ebay premade coils, hie goes by bendavape137 and does excellent work. I ordered a replacement base for my 3.1 so I can use set screws. But my Ephro an Tribeca I neeed to get the hang of mounting the coild under the cheesehead screw, Its very difficult with 28 guage. Perhaps I need to aneal it a little first with the torch?

Building has always come easy to me. But if there is any one thing I am poor at it's attaching the leads to the terminals. I'm too old for that kind of work. I'll try this technique next time.

Personally I would venture to say it had more to do with the cotton then the coil. For the most part you would of seen the hot spots when you dry fired the coil. These would of been quite noticeable visually. As long as the coil had lite up from center out, or all at the same time, no issues. The type of cotton on the other hand can make a good bit of difference. Hopefully you are very close now so good luck again. One thing though, you haven't given up.

Yea two hours now its a good build, man the flavor is out of this world. Now I really can appreciate all the praise this tank gets. The flavor is as good or better than the dripper in a different way, but I can take this to work with me!

Hell yeah! Congrats!!!! I'm glad you decided to give it another shot.

A few more builds, and you'll get this down consistently every time.

Still enjoying my KayFun Lites from the initial release. Other RBAs have come and gone. However, my KFLs are keepers.
Very true. I do own other tanks that may produce more vapor and maybe better flavor but I still seem to grab the kayfuns more times then not. i think its because they are tried and true and so very reliable. Also was my first bottom coil tank in which I learned another love, micro coils and cotton, which both will always have a place in my heart.

What else makes better flavor than Kayfuns?

Many RDA's, IMO, produce better flavor. But truthfully, not by a whole lot. And generally not enough to overcome the small capacities restrictions of RDA's. The Kayfun can proudly boast they are near-RDA flavor quality with the convenience of a seal-proof 4.5ml capacity.
