I can see lots of people torching, dry-burning and keeping their setups for weeks.
Is it just me with steeped tobacco juices that recoils daily or every other day? I haven't found dry-burning efficient and all that dryburn, torch, wash dry seems a lot of hassle for a coil and 8 cms of silica....Plus I would need at least 4 killers to be able to vape while mantaining the other two. With recoiling, it takes 10-15 minutes for 2 killers + 1 dripper...
As for the cost of recoiling daily, if it's 40-60 cents, in comparison to analogs, I guess I can have this...
Any advantages of using a setup for long period of times (aside from the cost)?
See my post a few above. My juices gunk almost anything in a day. Doing so many high heat torchings, for five weeks, same coil and wick, may have been responsible for the ceramic cup "fusing" to center post.
It takes only a few minutes to remove from PV and rinse in hot water. It gets the wick remarkably clean. Dry burning the coil and silica that remains gunked takes just a few minutes.
I'm going to do one Killer doing cleaning with water and dry burning and second with torch and dry burning and compare after a few weeks.
I have four Killers and one eBaron. I uaually have two going on REOs so I have something to vape while cleaning other.
