So let me first say this is a story i got second hand but it sounds pretty believable. There was a lady in an airport(not sure where)that was arrested for disorderly conduct.Apparently she was vapin and was asked to stop by an airport official. She explained that she wasn't smoking,at which time the guy told her he knew all about vaping and again asked her to stop, she didn't and was subsequently arrested. Why don't people get, that much like smoking, vaping is not a right but a privledge and if someone asks you to refrain in their place you do it :grr: If we want to furthur our cause, people need to be smarter and not act like:censored:.anyway thats my sunday morning rant,I feel much better:) Coffee is done and my ego is waiting...

I haven't flown since I started vaping. But, I have heard that the airlines have incorportated a statement in their pre-flight spiel about vaping not being allowed onboard.
It's their aircraft, they make the rules. This is as it should be. If, on the other hand, there is an airline which doesn't object ... that's even better. Just don't want to cause a commotion in the air and upset fellow passengers who may not be aware of what you're doing.

EDIT: I've done four transcontinental flights, in flight for more than five hours at a time. That was before I quit smoking 1-2 packs of cigarettes a day. Yeah, I did a bit of craving toward the ends of the flights. But, I survived. :)

Exactly Domino I do the same thing and by holding your breath even for a few seconds the vapor dissapates to nothing on exhale. As long as its not one that smells you are ok and no one knows a thing.
I've vaped just about everywhere, but I do it DISCREETLY. They don't call it 'stealth vaping' for nothing! Use a PV that doesn't light up like a Xmas tree and hold your breath.

People like that woman ARE the reason John Q Public's going to be organizing 'vaper lynch mobs'..

I think places you have never been aloud to smoke are for the most part off limits. What people don't seem to understand is while vaping currently anywhere is legal, any business establishment has the right to refuse you service. I stealth vape when I absolutely need to vape or go to areas where there are no people like an empty hallway or the bathroom. Remember people, we went years smoking without having to do it in non smoking areas and survived. Now that it's okay to do it inside without the smell or second hand smoke, we have begun vaping all the time. If everyone in the world who currently is smoking begins vaping, the stores will be baked out with vapor. =) That's just gonna piss nonsmokers off even more.

I've flown 2 round trips since I started vapeing. I vape very lightly in the bathroom on the plane and exhale downwards. In the airport, I go to the bathroom and sit in a stall and vape. I have vaped in the terminal where there were no other passengers and a few employees looked at me but didn't say anything. I had to explain what my e-cig was to the TSA in a small airport but they just smiled and let me carry it onto the plane. I didn't throw a fit when they took it out of my bag, I calmly explained it to them (while in the back of my head I was saying "Stay calm, you do have back up in your luggage") and they just seemed interested in learning what it was. If someplace asks you to stop vapeing then do it. If you need a fix so badly, go to the smoking area and do it there. And again there is always the bathrooms.

We are ground breakers with this vapeing thing and we have a responsibility to so do in a posititve light.

They own the place and they get to make the rules, that is how it's supposed to work. However, I got hassled by the cops in a bar, the owner stood up for me telling them that I wasn't breaking the law. I won't repeat what I said to the cop but I did keep on vaping. If the owner says it's cool and your within your right then stand your ground. However, if the owner doesn't want you to do it you are violating the owners rights.

I could have gone to jail (big deal it's not like the county lock up is prison) but I would not let anyone bully me when I know the law. Don't try and stand up for your rights until you understand what that actually means. You don't have the right to violate someone's property. But, you do have the right to resist illegal orders from a thug in a government issued costume.
