I have vaped in the Movie theater and Whole Foods... But and this is a big But, I always use discretion and never tempt fate. I was at an outdoor cafe and vaped openly. Got some dirty looks from the woman two tables over who tried not to breath when she saw me exhale, but I made sure it wasn't in her direction. At the same time two people came up to me and asked me about my Ego/Tornado and where they could get one because they wanted to get off cigarettes.

So with discretion I vape and hope not to draw attention to myself, yet still spread the word about vaping, helping others get off the analogs. Seems the best middle ground approach. At least in my experience.

I'm sorry, but she deserved it. As long as the arrest didn't lead to anything severe of course! But if you're asked to stop doing something in an airport (or anywhere else where they have authority.) STOP, I can run around saying "F you" to everyone I wanted because of freedom of speech, but if I'm asked to stop, I better stop.

We the unwilling,
Guided by the unknowing,
have done so much, with so little, for so long,
that we are now qualified to do anything with nothing .

That being said, if ya couldn't smoke in a public place before, then you should really feel out the atmosphere before you go vapeing nuts.

We are treading new waters here, and anyone that is an ex smoker here (which probably covers the majority) knows that we were societal pariahs. So let's try to keep a positive spin on vapeing.

I often go out to where the smokers are and as soon as I start vapeing they all have questions.
Have patience, explain things in a friendly way. And lets get more people, smokers and non smokers alike , on board with this less obtrusive way of satysfying our cravings.

I try to educate people on how much less harmful vapeing is compared to smoking. But it's gonna take time. Look how long it took for smokers to get a bad rap. Well it's not going to go away overnight. Rome wasn't built in a day, and we can't expect to shove vapeing in peoples noses and expect to have them welcome it with open arms.

IMHO

So let me first say this is a story i got second hand but it sounds pretty believable. There was a lady in an airport(not sure where)that was arrested for disorderly conduct.Apparently she was vapin and was asked to stop by an airport official. She explained that she wasn't smoking,at which time the guy told her he knew all about vaping and again asked her to stop, she didn't and was subsequently arrested. Why don't people get, that much like smoking, vaping is not a right but a privledge and if someone asks you to refrain in their place you do it :grr: If we want to furthur our cause, people need to be smarter and not act like:censored:.anyway thats my sunday morning rant,I feel much better:) Coffee is done and my ego is waiting...

There will always be people that have bad judgement whether they are using an e-cigarette or not. Poor judgement/bad judgement is probably there for life for many. Sad but true. Others can always encourage or suggest different behaviors, if they follow it is anyones guess. The person in question here more than likely has a significant legal history.
