I wonder when we will see someone walking around with two scuba tanks strapped on their back. One tank is the battery and the other holding the juice. Can't you almost picture that? I am not good at Photo Shop so I can't create a picture of this.

I got 2 scuba tanks downstairs. Good idea! I'll get to work

That's good to know that the protection works. I don't want PV shrapnel imbedded in my forehead.

The only explosive failures of eGos I can recall were during charging. While looking into using LR on standard eGo batteries (what my coworker uses), I saw that a few people had their batteries go thermal/get HOT but not explode. Not trying to scare you by any means, just stating what I've read here and experienced with mine.

Both of my Twists are dead now. One died slowly and the other quit working right after I tried to test the output with a multimeter. I haven't bought any more since I'm fairly happy with the setup I have now.

Welcome back Army!

Just put 2 AGA T2 with pyrex tanks on order with Hoosier Vapes. They had a sale 2 $22.40 or 1 fer $24.40 plus I got two drip tips, batteries, silica, wire, and spare o-rings. never thought I'd be moving up to RBA. Is there such a thing as RBA/vamo snobs?

Cheers,
:toast:

gotta massage to do - brb (maybe)

None. I use a multimeter when building hybrid mod coils as there is no 510 connection. For anything else I use the Provari (Vamo same thing) as it is far easier and just as or more accurate.

That makes sence to me. I do want a multi-meter in the future. They look fun to play with and it would make me feel smarter than I really man. Plus I could check the battery juice left in my mechanical mods without having to throw them in my vamo all the time, then take them back out and put them in the mech mod again.

I would say its a bit safer and not sure if the VAMO has safety features but if your going for a low ohm coil it may not read. Now I am by far great at all that but the other day I tried on the provari and it kept reading a short. I had to put another wrap on it to have it read. I hear that's why mech mods are better for that cause there is no safety features. I am still a bit nervous to use the mech mod yet. But I'll get there. Guess that's what the meter is for.

Oh yea, that's right... my Vamo with only check the resistance down to like 1.2 or something like that... gotta check the manual again. Totally forgot about that.

I hate that you didn't enjoy Highbrow juice. I'm a very private person so a trade isn't gonna work for me. I know I know it's not very ECF-like but it's just who I am. ;)

Its all good. I personally wouldn't take juice from someone I didn't know, but I see people selling used juice on this forum all the time so I figured id offer. There's some people on here I PM and talk with on a regular basis that I would trust to get juice from that wasn't tampered with or mistreated, but random people I wouldn't. So no offense taken by any means.

Provari, Evic, Spinner, Ego (Twist on the way) I actually like the eVic most of all.
I use Splitfires, Vivi Nova Minis and Vision nanos. My fav tank has become the Splitfire. Great flavor!

How's that eVic working for you? I hear with the new software update it now has variable wattage? I've been kinda wanting one, but I figured by the time I picked one up they would have a gen 2 out and then id be ...... I didn't wait. Ecig world is starting to look like the computer industly... 3 months after you buy something it already old news and you want the new model.

Haha, totally!!

Vape Rev store was quite a treat. They mean serious business when it comes to vaping. Really nice place. When you walk in, a greeter takes your name and asks what you're in for (ie juice, mod, RBA,) and you wait in the very comfortable lounge. They called me to sit at the juice bar and I had 1-on-1 time with one of their specialists. Every employee there was sporting a Chi You Mod. My dude let me try his. I covet this mod like no other. I tried a ton of juices and asked a bunch of questions. I ended up buying 2 juices which are only sold at their location or their online shop (which went live today). Most of their juice selection is from local suppliers. I bought Ben Johnson's Awesome Sauce "Snickelfritz" which is naturally extracted kiwi/watermelon. To say the flavor is authentic is an understatement. And another juice I bought was a flavored NET from Midas called "Spiced Winter Nut". Delish. I gave some Gandalf to the guys to try. Their eyes lit up when I mentioned it because they had heard of it but haven't tried. The guy I was dealing with had a look of surprise when he tasted it. "This is good...this is reeeaal good". He pulled one of the other "bartenders" over to try it. It got the same response. The prices are stupid expensive, but I've seen worse prices at local B&M. I really just want a Chi You, but this Ben Johnson's Sauce is something I could buy in bulk. They have all kinds of high-end mods and devices on display. Did I mention I wanted a Chi You?

Man, that sounds super cool. Customer service at its best :)

What about a sidewinder tank with a hose attached to it that goes to a camel pack on your back filled with juice, lol.

I've been thinking about getting one of thouse bags they sell where you place your charging batterys in them incase of any issues... its supposed to kill a fire if one starts. Can't remember the name of them. I always charge my eGos wile I'm not around... but my mod batterys (18650, 18350, ex) I only charge when I'm home and awake. I have a table/desk with my DJ equipment on it that is constructed of partical board and cinder blocks. I always put the charger into one of the holes in the cinder blocks just incase something funny happens.

I bought one of those bags when I got my XTar and I still haven't used it. That was months ago.

Someone really needs to take away my paypal account before I buy the polished Reo Grand VV/ERA combo in the classifieds right now. Soooo tempting.

As some of you know, I purchased a YJ Lavatube about a week and a half ago (vendor shall remain nameless for now). It has never performed properly in the entire time I have had it. It burns the juice even at the lowest setting. (3.0 volts). I could never verify the voltage as my multimeter went on the fritz (probably Chinese made as well). I replaced my multimeter yesterday and took readings on this defective LT. It checks out perfect across the range of voltage settings (3,4,5, and 6.0 volts). According to my multimeter, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this LT. Vaping from it tells a completely different story. It burns the juice at even the lowest output. I have verified this across several juice delivery devices. Then I immediately switch the clearo to my ProVari and it is fine. As Xfoo and I have been discussing, the duty cycle on these LTs are very slow. But it is hard t imagine it could be this slow. I have contacted the vendor and will post their reply.

Just replaced my silica wick with 500 mesh SS in my Phoenix RBA.

Is it standing straight up? I wanna punch SS in its face right now! I tried to use 2 small pieces to make 1 wick and it didn't work out to well. Just frustrating! I've done good ones and not so good ones. And tonight was a LAME one! Errrrr

Yes it is straight up and down. I rolled about a 1.5 inch by 3 inch piece, oxidized it and wrapped my coil. Once I had it in the arty I snipped the excess off the top.
I had some trouble rolling nice ss wicks when I first started but after you do several it seems like it gets to be second nature.

Rolling it wasn't the problem. The problem was the second piece I tried to use wouldn't stay tightly wrapped in the smaller one. That smaller wick was tighter then a ducks ..... I have a sheet of 12"x12" 400 mesh on the way. And I bought my propane torch yesterday. I actually did one for my did clone the other day that worked out quite well. And I only ran a lighter under it. I didn't really oxidize it soooo well. But it's working perfectly. I wanna roll and coil a 0.9ohm coil and see how good it is. My did clone was at 1.4. Figured 1 less wrap will do me just fine.
