I do. After using both for a while, there's not much difference. If you know your preferred voltages and you know the ohm's law conversion in your head, then vv is trusty. VW is solid but if I need to fine tune a flavor, I switch over to vv. It's nice having the option. VW is more of a set-it-and-forget-it thing. VV is more of a sweet-spot finder. The good thing about VW is you can go from a 3ohm carto to a 1.5ohm Nova without changing anything, and the output will be constant.

Are you finding you like different juices at different wattage? From juice to juice or vendor to vendor?

Yeah, sometimes. I haven't made note of it but when something isn't tasting spot on, I will turn the temp up or down depending. My tastes have been changing a lot lately. Honestly, since I've been using genesis attys, everything in a carto or tank tastes "off". I'm not just saying this to sound like a fanboy, but the genny experience has spoiled me. I'm a little mad to tell you the truth. I have a LOT of cartos and tanks which are going unused, many of which I may end up selling. The taste has as much to do with the delivery device as it does the power behind it. Vendor to vendor? I don't know.

Hmmm. I was never big on cartos and have used them very little. Some say clearos kill taste. I think it mutes it but doesn't kill it. I dripped a bit early but got away from it because I didn't want to be a slave to my juice bottle. I will try an RBA at some point.

Don't know about you X, but I don't mind moving slowly with vaping. I'd like to think I'll be around for awhile so I'll take it slow. It takes me forever to sample juices. But that's OK. I like my rotation where it is so I'm in no hurry.

I wish I could take it slow, but once I get into hobbyist mode, I have a tough time slowing down. I just got a slew of T3 and MT3s in from a coop today. When I ordered them, they were the cat's meow. Now I'm looking at them wondering why I ever bothered. Oh well. Someone will buy them for sure.

I'm one of those lucky people that can taste the filler in cartos. :(

I think I just joined that club. I can always make an armored vest with the 300 cartos I have. Naaah. They'll get used. I just have a lifetime supply.

Just ordered a mech mod, the Natural, from Exhale Vapors New! The Natural (FLAT TOP) Mechanical Mod by SMOKtech - Stainless Steel 10% off this month, and a decent price to begin with. Got an AGA-T+ with a low ohm coil that needs some lovin.

I have had the natural for a about a week now. I think once I get my aga-t2's I will use it a lot more. But I like the mod. Specially in 18350 mode. It's tiny. All in all I am happy with the money I spent on it.

I'm def not the norm when it comes to vaping I guess. If I'm not using a rebuildable with ss wick then my next choice is a tanked carto. Especially since I have started slotting them instead of punching. Everyone loves vivi novas too and I can't stand them. If they were the only device available to vape from I would probably quit vaping. The only clearo I have found that I remotely like are the innoken iclears.

Another successful coil and SS mesh, starting to get the hang of this. Tonight I made a 0.9ohm coil for the Aga T-2.
Filled it with Serendipity and instant great taste and vapor.

Now my real problem is that I only got one mechanical mod.

Congrats! It gets easier and easier. I'm finally getting it so I can replace a coil in about 5 minutes and make a fresh wick and coil in about ten without any issues. The good thing about learning on the AGA-T is that it is one of the more finicky RBAs out there. Once you get your hands on something like a ZAU or an AC9, building will be a piece of cake.

Thank you. :)
It was last nights success with the Cobra that made me give the Aga a new try(I've had it set up with silica for a weeks now), and yeah I think I've cracked the code. It's incredible how nice and smooth taste you get out of a high powered setup with a low resistance coil, quite awesome!

I have 2 aga's on the way. What size did you cut your mesh to and how many wraps did you do on the coil? I am really looking forward to getting them and getting a 0.9ohm coil going. Mesh should be here tomorrow. Thx

I use a 40mm x 65mm piece of 500 mesh. I opened the wick hole with a 7/64 drill bit. I think the default is 2.5mm so I opened it to 2.77mm. I roll the wick solid and do a 3-4 wrap of 28AWG kanthal which gives me 0.8-0.9ohms. Some people like opening the wick hole to 1/8" which is 3.17mm. If you do that, a 3-4 wrap will give you about 1.1ohm

Yeah, ultra low resistance is a wonderful vape. It'll kill overall battery life but I think the sacrifice is worth it. If you can find MNKE IMR 18650 batteries, they have twice the C-rating as AW batteries and will fare better in the long run. I think they can handle something like 30 amps of drain. On a fully charged battery at 4.2v with a .9ohm coil we're barely cracking 5 amps.

I have 400 mesh coming and 32g kanthal. I may leave my wick hole alone until I can see what's what.

I started with the mesh at about 45mm tall and 40mm wide, trimmed it down a bit when it was finished.
I didn't oxidise it before rolling. When it was rolled tight and ready, I used the torch and oxidised and quenched twice.

Then I wrapped a small piece of cig rolling paper around where the coil was going, inserted the wick into the RBA and coiled it up with 4/3 28 awg.
Pulse fired to check how evenly the coils where glowing, adjusted spacing a little bit and blew off the ashes from the paper.
Certainly a mishmash of various ways of setting up a wick and coil, but it's worked flawlessly for for me twice now, so I'm happy! :)

Yeah I have to see if I can find me a MNKE or two.
I used the Cobra with a AW IMR 18490 at work today, and it lasted me nicely through 7.5 hours, but I wan't chain vaping. Also this setup seems to give a nice little nic buzz from just a few deep draws, so I didn't really vape as often as I usually do. :)

32 gauge won't give you ultra low resistance. Plus, the wire is too thin to handle that kind of heat. You'll be popping coils. To get low resistance, you need a resilient wire. At least 30AWG. Without opening up the wick hole, you may get a 1 ohm coil with a 3-4 wrap of 30AWG, or you could try a 2-3 wrap. 32AWG will not survive resistances below 1.3ohms. Do yourself a favor and order some 28AWG today.
