Hey everyone, I have an equipment question for you all. So right now I have the inferno starter kit. I got it about two weeks ago but I can tell already that I don't like it much. Bronze introduced me to the spinners by vision. I really like it and it was also mentioned to me that a kanger protank should work well with it. The problem with this is that I have no experience with clearomizers so I'm not really sure how they work and what I need to replace and how often I I need to replace those things. Also if I am wanting to have multiple flavors through out the day do I need to pick up multiple protank. I have about $100 to spend and I am wanting to make sure that I don't screw up again and buy something that I will regret like the inferno because I really want to keep it simple and I would rather spend my money on juice then mods

Daniel, welcome to the hardware thread and the elusive hunt for the ultimate euphorious vape! I have three Spinners in use daily - two 900 mAh and one 1300 mAh. I find them much easier to read the voltage settings than the eGo Twists, but other than that they are both decent bats. My 1300 has been working flawlessly for almost a year now. (with 3, or 4 in rotation, I get good milage from them. YMMV)

I also have three Protanks in use - two version I and one vs II. Haven't tried the mini yet. Does the Inferno kit use a cartomizer style tank? Or is it a small cig-a-like e-cig?

The Protanks are different in that they have the attomizer attached to the base and hollow central tube that goes up to the tip. Juice flows in to the heating coil through two holes in the atty where the wick sticks out. The coil is actually wrapped around the main wick with two more flavor wicks laid over that. The atty is easily replaced and depending on how much you vape and the juices you use it could work well up to 3 or 4 tanks full. HHV has a reputation of being very atty friendly. Other juices, especially Natural Extracted Tobaccos, will gunk up atty quickly.

While Protank attys are relatively cheap, they can be rebuilt, if you want to get into that, and rebuilding is less expensive and fairly easy to do. Many of the guys and gals on this thread rebuild their coils and wicks. There are also some who prefer not to bother and just buy new attys.

The inferno batts look like egos but I'm not sure if they have 510 or ego threading though couldn't find out on the website so making a recommendation is kinda hard .

If you want to get some protanks shoot me a pm. I have 2 or 3 protanks and a protank 2 with some spare coils that you can have if you just pay the shipping. I no longer use them

OK that's the Tobeco KFL clone FT has up , it's gotten good reviews , might have to grab one myself , less of a lead time on it Neo you better jump on it before the resellers do .

I just got a Tobeco kfl clone. I like it better than the ehpro kfl clone

Here are my protanks. Thus is how they have been for over a month. They get no love from me any more.

OK I set this KFC up with the prewrapped coil that came with it , I've got 100ft of 30ga ordered should be here on wednesday and I'm feeling too lazy to go to the BM and pay 3$ a foot for it , coming in at 3.2 Ohms even with this high resistance it's putting a whole new spin on Legend , I thought I knew what Legend tastes like but damn was I wrong , OMG the flavor this thing puts out is amazing , no leaks , no gurgling , unfreaking believable .

Ain't they something else, now? :2cool:

Yup they sure are , I'm gonna have to refill pretty soon here , I've been chain vaping since I got it , can't wait to try a microcoil with cotton now , I'm just ecstatic over how this thing vapes .

can't speak for your model specifically, but if it is like the KF it wont leak either.

Not a drop of leakage , I've tried laying it on it's side deliberately and nada , I filled through the top blocking the air hole and no problems with that either , I'll rebuild as soon as my wire comes in though it's working perfectly now I'm gonna shoot for 1.5 - 1.8 with it , I did find out the svd gives more wriggle room than the vamo , it'll actually fire subohm as long as your not over 5 amps with it .

The inferno kit is a tank like e cig so I have the Cartomizer tube that I soak in the juice and then I push it into the hollow tank on one end and push it through the fill it up.

I think the Inferno probably looks something like the one on the right, correct? Getting around the vaping lingo can be confusing at times. If yours looks similar to this, it's called a cartomizer tank. The center tube has the attomizer and a fiber like filling to absorb & hold the juice. Cartridge & attomizer together in one peace thus the name.

Many folks like them and they work fine for them. Personally, I didn't have luck with them. Mine were either flooding or give off dry hits. The company I got the cartos that were of inferior build quality - it was a 50/50 chance of getting a decent vape.

The one on the left is commonly known as a mophead clearomizer, Vision V3 with the atty (coil) on top and wicks hanging down inside the juice tube. They were also very popular, but mine had a problem with leaking after a short while.

Then came the BCC or bottom coil clearomizers such as the Protank, iSmoka, Aspire dual bottom coil. Each has it's own advantages and quirks. The only way to really tell which is best for you is to experiment, however that can get expensive. Like Bronze I can vouch for the Protanks, even though some of them need some tinkering with the wicks in order to get consistent vapor. But that is another story - this is already getting too long.

That's what the Provari limit is too. I don't recall with the SVD, but the Provari will let you sink to 2.9 volts which technically would allow a .85 ohm device to operate...theoretically.
