Glad you enjoyed it X. So Ben Johnson is not to be confused with Doc Johnson?
Vape Rev store was quite a treat. They mean serious business when it comes to vaping. Really nice place. When you walk in, a greeter takes your name and asks what you're in for (ie juice, mod, RBA,) and you wait in the very comfortable lounge. They called me to sit at the juice bar and I had 1-on-1 time with one of their specialists. Every employee there was sporting a Chi You Mod. My dude let me try his. I covet this mod like no other. I tried a ton of juices and asked a bunch of questions. I ended up buying 2 juices which are only sold at their location or their online shop (which went live today). Most of their juice selection is from local suppliers. I bought Ben Johnson's Awesome Sauce "Snickelfritz" which is naturally extracted kiwi/watermelon. To say the flavor is authentic is an understatement. And another juice I bought was a flavored NET from Midas called "Spiced Winter Nut". Delish. I gave some Gandalf to the guys to try. Their eyes lit up when I mentioned it because they had heard of it but haven't tried. The guy I was dealing with had a look of surprise when he tasted it. "This is good...this is reeeaal good". He pulled one of the other "bartenders" over to try it. It got the same response. The prices are stupid expensive, but I've seen worse prices at local B&M. I really just want a Chi You, but this Ben Johnson's Sauce is something I could buy in bulk. They have all kinds of high-end mods and devices on display. Did I mention I wanted a Chi You?
So would u say it's worth it even though it's overpriced? I was checking out the site earlier and i was quite shocked at prices.

Kinda scary stuff....Some questions:
1) What ohms should a rebuilt Phoenix be?
2) Are Joyetech Twists really short-protected like they claim?
3) Are protected 18650 batteries on a mechanical mod gonna blow up on me with a short?
Thanks!Kinda scary stuff....
Protected no. Hence protected. Ohms on a Phoenix is up to your comfort and taste. I was hesitant at first as well. But once you get the first one up and running you be a pro at it. I just did one yesterday and it was 2.2 ohms

Good! My mech mod has protected batts. How many wraps did it take for a 2.2 ohm? And thanks for your help!
2) Are Joyetech Twists really short-protected like they claim?
I would recommend to stay around 1.8 ohms or so. Seems to be a good number for mechanicals. I would try a 4/5 wrap 32g?
4/5 28g - 1.0 to 1.1 ohms
4/5 30g - 1.3 to 1.5 ohms
4/5 32g - 1.7 to 2.0 ohms
ish.
I did a search on this and many people claim that the short protection worked as advertised for them, but the occasional person said the electronics on theirs just failed completely. I was testing the output on one of mine with a multimeter and I *think* I may have shorted it, and now it's completely dead. It's kind of a crapshoot.
I use my ProVari to test/build my genesis since it has the built-in protection. I don't have a Phoenix, but from what I've read it's pretty difficult to short a Phoenix if you're using silica/cotton wick.
