Current talk conclusions:
- smoking risks are really really high, really beyond compare to any NRTs
- there are a lot of promising nicotine containing products out there
- research should be fasttracked to assess their relative safety and efficacy
- there are some concerns with e-cigarettes quality control
- IF these products are effective, then the benefit would be tremendous
** But if people actually stop smoking and start using other nicotine containing producs, that might be promoting 'the addiction' which is bad, even if incidentally their lives are saved

sorry)
. They are the ones that should be under the microscope for their outrageous prices. I went to pick up a medication for my stepdaughter that she must take (she has aspberger's syndrome, a milder form of autism). The freaking co-pay was $120. I asked the pharmacist to recheck and see if our insurance didn't cover it or something. She returned and said the insurance paid some of it and then she wrote down the price had I not had insurance, $756!!!!!! $25.26 per pill!!!!!
Now we're talking.
