I missed Elaines so I can't comment on it. I personally liked it when a member of the panel asked Bill to forward the study on chewing tobacco being safer and he told them that he had sent it several times to the FDA and it was referenced in what he had sent only to be ignored by them.

Where is the "Love" button?

OK... I am just joining now, and I don't know who is the speaker, but FINALLY we have an adult level, scientific presentation. Not to knock anyone before, but the morning session was more in the 'political posturing' category.

It's not surprising. E-cigarette advocates have only been around for 3 years and learning as we go. We are lucky to have the THR experts on our side, who have been fighting for over 10 years for acceptance, and they are thrilled to finally have consumers who are willing to step up and fight for a THR product we actually like and that works. It's win-win! ;) But this issue is a lot more political than most people realize, because a large part of the opposition to THR has nothing to do with health but is about money and morals. So, unfortunately, both arguments have to be made.

I don't know who this guy is, please let me know. He is smart.

Note how he consistently uses the same catch phrases: adult smokers, acceptable and enjoyable product, modfied risk tobacco products vs. harm reduced tobacco derived products.

Yep, a rep for Big, Evil Tobacco that always lies. lol ;)

Remember - in spite of the scientific evidence showing the opposite, tobacco companies are required by law to say that all of their smoke-free products are not a safe alternative to smoking, while Big Pharma is allowed to lie and call their products "safe and effective."
