Thank you fix my friend. I really believe that Ithaka is the best atomizer ever made with more options than you could ask for. Also dual coils will make you reduce your nic to half.
I am now working on Achilles and I had one more idea for it. I am planning to make an adjustable draw base for it, that will be removable so you can vape Achilles without it, and also this base will fit on all atomizers on the market, and it will fit on all mods too. So the final result will be that we will be able to vape Achilles and all the other atomizers in the market with AD control and on all mods too!

Sorry if this has been posted, but I make a ushape with a small part of the NR wire, then place the R wire in the middle, looks kinda like a trident. I hold the bottom with some flat plyer and then keeping the wires separate NR/R/NR I twist with some flat tweezers. They come out pretty good. Here is a pic, unfortunately the other pics was to large:

EDIT: forgot to add I then use a bic lighter upon the joint as I had read another poster suggest. I do that for a second let cool and then do one more time.

They loog good LongDraw!

So guys, I've tried to burn my coils clean and they just seem to taste absolutely awful after. Not sure what I'm doing wrong... was burning it for 5 seconds at a time... It doesn't appear to get much cleaner and it just ends up tasting awful... what am I doing wrong?

I don't mind just making new coils and wicks, I just don't want to waste material!

Are you dry burning and blowing on the coil until your R wire turns red? That is when it is as clean as it will get. Then just make sure that all of the wick (including in the channels) is pretty dry before you prime and fill again.

I did that at first, then was told to just dry burn in 5 second intervals, and I did that, with the same result.
I used to do this with stainless steel mesh and it, too, would have a weird taste (not the same as silica, though) but it would go away. I didn't vape the "cleaned" wick for that long after, so maybe it goes away? It was just a pretty strong taste, I wasn't a big fan.. I would have rather made a new setup.

I'm vaping Bobas Bounty if that matters.

I'd love to be able to clean my coil and wick, though... it would save my material I'm sure!

I vape boba's bounty exclusively. I was never ever ever able to remove the gunk with dry burn on my penelope. Ever. But I thought it was just me. And the thicker the wick the more gunk you will have. I was tired of testing (sigh...). I never thought it was the juice but me failing to do it somehow. I never vaped other juices in a GG so I couldn't say for sure.

I can see this being the case... it is quite thick and dark... but it won't stop me from vaping it, it's just so delicious. I really should try other juices, though... I've been vaping BB exclusively for almost a year now!

And ok, I guess I'll just start stocking up on more silver and kanthal wire and wick material! Maybe one night I will just make a few coild and wick setups so I can just pop them on my Ody really fast.

Well I finally got a pattern of dryburning down. River had suggested warm water. So now I just heat a small dish with some water to get it extra warm (doesn't come out that warm from the faucet) and I keep the rebuildable part in the base just dunk the coil part in the water a few times swishing it around and blot on napkin. Then I put it back on provari and do short bursts as suggested while blowing on the coil.

This worked well for two times with two different coils. In the past I think I would hold the fire button to long and it weakened the R/NR connection so the ohms would fluctuate. Both coils are holding steady where they were in the past or moved up by .1

Also, the one coil was fairly dirty. Vaped about 3 to 4 mls and it was a 50/50 ratio. So far flavor seems pretty good, as I put the same juice in to finish up the bottle.

Will be interesting to see if this works when I vape one of my juices which is 95% vg

Interesting, I'll have to give this a try!

Another thing.. my coils have been working great.. no major problems. I do still get some fraying of the wick, though! I'm using 3.5mm and I do have 3mm coming today from CoV so I think that will help.
I think the fraying is caused from the silver wire that comes out from under the wick (negative I think?) - I think it takes up wick room a little?
Can that wire be placed above the wick since it's just going to be touching the metal ring that screws down, Instead of touching the metal in the channel? OR - does it HAVE to get screwed under that metal ring? Can I just cut the wire to the length of the metal channel and just leave it under the wick? Or will that not be a good connection?

make 2 rounds with your NR wire around the negative wick and you will be ok buddy. That way the negative wire will touch the ring, the metal slot and the base at the same time:)

Haha, only 10 seconds in and had to comment love the song and the dancing.

EDIT: Video was really good Bishop. I think I am kinda doing it like that by dunking it in water, but I am not taking the rebuildable part out of the water. After doing the dry burn I started dunking it in water again and then another quick dry burn to clean up any ash. Been working great, have been doing this to one ody about the 3rd or 4th time and still going great, ohms checking in at the same, maybe .1 higher.

Thanks again.

Long draw have you tried one of my methods for cleaning? I really don't save the wick anymore since i have so much in stock but when I was short on wick id id the following:
