I've been vaping for less than 3 months and have purchased complete kits for 501, 808D-1, 808D-2, and 401. The most expensive kit was $30. The least expensive was $5. /QUOTE]

What kit was $5? Was this a full kit, or just a throw away? Also 40ml for $10 sounds good. What vendor and flavor?

These are all sticks made to look like analogs. I've bought them from focalprice(401), Mad Vapes(510 and 808D-1), Good Prophets (510), a local store (808D-1), and WalMart(808D-2).

Some of them are marketed as throw aways - but they are all rechargeable. It sounds crazy, but my favorite is actually the one Wal Mart just started carrying last week (808D-2 branded as Mistic). The batteries last longer than all the others and I get a nice thick hit. I don't like the carts that come with it though and either refill their carts with my own or use my 808D-1 carts which fit and work except they have a gap. What surpises me is that a cart and battery are $7. Add a 2nd cart and charger and it's $14. Throw in a extra battery and a couple carts and it's $24. Their prefilled carts are a major rip off at $14 for 5. The other problem is 808D-2 blanks are hard to find (I've only found 2 places with them on the web) but thankfully it all works with my current 808D-1 charger and blanks - it just doesn't look that pretty together.

The juices I have been getting are around $10 for 40ml which means some are less and some are more. I just started out so my experience is limited and I'm hesitant to recommend flavors since I don't have much of a comparison base. But so far I've gotten local juices (which I don't like), Mad Vapes, Good Prophets, Void Mist, and Chi-Town Vapors.

He/she can have just as many problems doing DIY just like buying the juice outright. If the flavors they buy are nasty they are not going to like them no matter who mixes them. Also I'm not a "naysayer", I was merley making a joke but as usual people here can't seem to take them properly and get their panties all up in knots...

I guess you are saying that I am going to blow up something...and why is that? I spend alot of money starting out...I am sure I am not the only one. When I get started on a new venture...I always start off making mistakes like anyone else that likes nice things and prefers quality above quantity.

Then I become very precise in what I am doing like keeping records and such. I am trying to figure out your point?

My point is I was actually making a joke (did you not see the smiley face blowing smoke?) and trying to enlighten the situation but my apologies, continue to embrace the drama!

Again, my apologies...I understand the chances with the flavors. this is why I am trying to pick tobaccos that have a floral note and mix them with flavors that I think I might like with the tobacco. I am basically trying somehow to come close to the backwoods brew taste. I do not want to have to buy just from them...They are expensive.

My entire problem would be solved with blue mist at 30 dollars for 180 ml. That would be my entire outlay for the month, but then again it comes down to what I like. There is no point in getting juice cheap if I do not like it.

They have one juice I like called rob's blackjack...that I would buy.

good time in vaping is starting threads like this and I sit back and lmao at some of the responses...I love it!

And to think people took the time to give you serious consideration.

You must have found something decent to vape since you started this thread. I read elsewhere you are vaping over 6ml per day.

As far as reviewers opinions...worthless until you know if they have the same tastes as you do.

Supertaster Test | Are You a Supertaster?

Hello there...things have changed quite a bit since I started this thread...I have not read the op since the day I wrote it. I have changed many opinions in the last month. As far as reviewers...I only took the advice of 2 reviewers and based on what they were reviewing, it appeared at the time these were the juices I was looking for.

Starting out, there is really no way to tell if they have the same taste profiles as me because I had nothing to compare the juices to. I made a mistake that will never happen again. I still love some of the responses because it always seems that members are taking my words out of context. I cannot tell you how many times someone has quoted me and had everything in the quote out of the original meaning that I intended. Many words get lost in translation and it is almost impossible to keep correcting them.

I like to start threads that are somewhat different than most...I find it much more interesting that way. Anyway, that is just me.

I don't dump the liquids I don't like. I mix them about 5% to the one I do like and it makes no diffs to the taste but it goes further and I save more $.

excellent idea and i do the same. and when i cut some of the more obnoxious flavors some of them are actually decent vapes. nothing is for waste in this exercise. an up front investment in different tech and juice is totally worth it. think big. how much are you going to save /this year/.

To me juice reviews are totally pointless. Everyone has different tastes.
I don't think I am saving much yet but I just started 4 months ago and still in purchase mode.

They are all pretty much the same.. a few vapes, a nose blow or two and "Wow, this is great/terrible stuff."
But I still watch Grimm and PBusardo... lol Entertainment is entertainment.

I think the only explosive in that lab will be Frankster himself! [Sorry Frankster, could not resist saying it.]

Just this Saturday I managed to shoot a little 18mg into my eye while cleaning my atty under the faucet and it burned! I flushed with water immediately but my eye was stinging the rest of the day.
I use 36mg to mix and wear safety glasses while I do it. Higher than 36mg you're getting into really toxic stuff.

And why do you think that? I put in my first order today for diy...I purchased 100mg nic, I also purchased gloves and glasses so I am going to be very careful. Thanks for the info.

I bought one bottle of Virginia Flue Cured e-juice. I already posted this before - but my first impression was that "it tasted like ...". It tasted really nasty.

I thought nothing further of it until I lit up an American Spirit analog a few days later (I still smoke between 0-2 analogs a day, except that one day I forgot my e-cig - then it was 1/2 a pack). The American Spirit tasted very similar to the e-juice: burnt, toasty, a little perfumy, and did I already say toasty?

I think the clean taste of the candy and food flavors of e-juice have spoiled me. I expect the food sensation and not the burnt taste of an analog.

I don't want my e-cigs tasting like analogs. This one bottle does a competent job of tasting like an analog, but its one bottle I don't like for that very reason. The others I really like: bubble gum and sour candies to name two.

In my first few months of vaping, I spent a bit more, as I ended up with a LOT of juices that I couldn't vape. I was very curious about all of the available flavors, and it was a lot of fun getting new samplers in the mail for a while. Fortunately, I learned that I could trade or sell them here, and I managed to trade anything I couldn't vape for something that I could. Now, I stick with 2-3 flavors that I know are dependable, and only order a small sample of something new very rarely.

My other big money waster was getting a bottom feeder mod, which worked out terribly for me. It was a very well-loved model that is very popular here, but I had a bad time with it., Had to send it in for repair three times, and it burned through attomizers at the rate of one every other day, so I was spending close to what I used to on cigarettes.

Fortunately, I sold my mod, now I am very happy with my eGo with LR atties that last me at leats a couple of weeks each. So, now I probably spend about $80/month on average - about $55 of that goes to juice, $12 for atties, and throw in a few extra bucks towards the occasional new battery and spare charger that I buy. That's a little bit less than what I used to spend on a carton of cigarettes each week, so I would say I'm definitely ahead of the game.

In the beginning, I think it's perfectly justified to overspend a little. After all, you're replacing a deadly addiction with a new hobby, so you might as well enjoy it and try out as many things that interest you until you settle into it.

In me and my Fiances first 21/2 months have spent.......

Initial Investment for 2 stupid E-Health Cigs $65.00
Upgrade to a Vaporstixx w PCC, and 510 Kit with 5 X 10ml bottle of juice $155.00
Bought our first Ego Tank Kit (Well half kit for it only included one batt, one atty, but had all the tanks etc) $20
Bought extra atty 9.00
Bought 2 X 900 mah VV USB passthrough Batteries, 1 Vision Clearomizer, Pack of CE3's $60
E-Liquid stock $200 (we won't need to buy e-liquid for at least a month or two now)

Total Investment $509.00

We smoked together about a pack and a half a day. A Pack of Exports in Ontario is about 10.50 (When we lived in Alberta it was about 13.00/pack OUCH!) So that is about lets say $15.00 for each of us to smoke. Multiply by 30 day approx a month that is 450/month to smoke. In 2 and 1/2 months we would have spent $1125 dollars in cigarettes. We've only spent approx 509 in vaping supplies and like I said that includes at least another month of juice. I have saved over $600 so far and it seems as I continue it gets cheaper and cheaper :)
