Just a fly-by to say hi everybody! We've been busy helping our daughter and her family move across country. It's been great spending time with them, but this was a lot easier when we were younger! Poor Brian had to drive their car from CO to VA all by himself with 2 dogs, one of which is puking along the way. Well, I guess moving always has it's glitches. Without them what would we have to talk about later? Ok, gotta go. We want to hit the road early to join Brian at the new house.

Nice one!

I would like eventually to get a .22 revolver. Maybe a Charter Arms Pathfinder.

People tend to recommend revolvers for women because they're simpler. But, they also kick pretty hard. But, a .22 I could handle.

My fav 22 revolver. But then I grew up watching cowboys and Indians on TV.

On a brighter side...last night me and a few others were overjoyed to be in a short HO with our Gracie..she was of course her usual chipper bright self.."cept she lost her glasses...they were resting on the top of her head......we asked her if she could sit up a little higher, cuz all we could see of her was from her eyes up ,so while she was trying to accommodate us we got to see the ceiling..the walls... the floor...but no Gracie....finally we saw her...but then her eye started stinging real bad so she had to leave....

A normal visit with our Gracie:D

( she's probably gonna disown me when she reads this...)

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
So we just got back from 2 days at the Jersey shore in Ocean City. That's were we took many summer vacations with our kids. Katie said, I've been in Colorado for 5 years. I want to see the beach. Can we go? Well she's still my little girl and I can't say no to her, never could. It was so grand to see my little girl and her little boy playing on the same beach were we had so much fun. There couldn't have been a better birthday present than that. It was a grey and windy day ... but the love and fun was shinning bright.

I used to own a revolver that looked very much like that....a long time ago, when Husband made a lot of trips away and I had children to protect. I think mine was a 45 though, but I could be wrong.....too long ago...

I can envision a day, sometime in the Future, where :: "Did I ever tell you the Story of when I drove alone from Colorado to Virginia with our Dogs .. ??" ..

Problem with a 22 is it just pisses them off. I want something with real stopping power. At least for the home protection gun. For target shooting a 22 is fine. I personally have a 9mm Makarov as my night stand gun. Gun kept with clip next to it. I can load and fire pretty damn fast and it's a lot safer not being loaded. Maybe clip in but nothing chambered would work too. With the hound (Abby) I'm going to know someone is trying to break in long before they get in.

I learned something new...to me....yesterday.. I've never had a "sweating" toilet tank before, didn't know there was such a thing..:( I had to turn the AC back on because the humidity was so darn high even though the temperature wasn't... condensation was building up and dripping allover.... tank looks lovely wrapped in a bright pink towel...

I didn't know that was a thing either. But, it looks like you've made the best of it!

sometimes here you can feel 'steam' when you lift the lid.
Took some getting used to !!

To look on the bright side of that....you won't have to deal with what I did....it takes cold water coming into the tank to cause the humidity to condense...:)

1988 S&W 9mm 459 Double Stack / 14+1 / Nightstand / Loaded / Safety On .. if this won't stop them, nothing will ..
1977 Winchester Model 12 Pump Action 12 Gauge / Mancave / Loaded / Safety On .. I figure the cocking sound alone is enough to deter most ..

2012 Beretta Nano 9mm .. at the Workshop and Carried when I think I might need to .. also, I'd recommend this model to any Female without hesitation .. :)

You can never be too prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse, (or Apocalypses of any Sort) .. ;)

None of that makes me any less a Peacenik .. but, you know, better safe than sorry .. ;)
