Yet another of my orchids is blooming. Schoenorchis secundiflora. This photo is not of my plant because the flowers are a bit smaller than a pinkie fingernail and my phone can't take a clear photo close up enough.
Happy to report that my coffee cup painting is going to my Granddaughter, in exchange for her taking me out for dinner and a nice big margarita...

She messaged me tonight, after I posted them on FB, asking if she could commission me to paint one for her. Told her she could have this one, unless she wanted a different mug. She loved this one, but thought perhaps I wanted to keep it for myself. I told her it's the same as with my sculpting....my pleasure is in the creation, not the collecting of my own work, and so the bargain was struck...Still...if I ever reach the point of having the skills to paint what floats around in my head...there may be one or two that I will keep...

With my crazy sleep cycle, it's actually more like late afternoon for me...

Wow, lots of people up this morning. Or should I say still up? Good morning. It's a lovely summer morning here. I was enjoying listening to the birds while sitting on the deck with my coffee and vape. Then I checked the To-Do list and now I'm thinking about a nap!
