@Anise I actually thought about offering to make some for you guys especially when @Uncle mentioned it BUT that would mean sending my hubby to the PO…a very busy one in my town. My friend who had to go there on a couple of occasions said no one was doing the social distancing and the counter people said nothing. Yes, he would be safer with his mask but…:(

And I only have enough suitable fabric for two masks. I used to sew all my clothes and always had tons of fabric around but I don’t sew as much these days. Than then would mean a visit to a fabric store.

I truly hate that I can’t just go do what I want these days

Hola .. :)

I guess my burka suggestion fell flat .. oh, well .. I would still urge you Fine Young Ladies to consider a burka .. :) .. I'm also all in for Turbans ..

I suppose I forgot to mark that with the green check mark. My only objection is when the burka is required.

Gary and I both LOVE chocolate but we have to watch our weight so I don’t bake because a panful of brownies wouldn’t last us more than a couple days. Instead, when we need a chocolate fix we make “cake in a mug” which is actually more like a brownie. Since Gary likes to have one 2-3 times a week I make it in bulk from a rehabbed recipe from Pioneer woman.

4 cups white flour
4 cups sugar
2.5 cups cocoa powder
5 teaspoons baking powder.

I use my mixer to get all the ingredients blended well andstore the mix in a plastic container.

To make a “cake in a mug” mix 1/2 cup of mix, 4 tablespoons milk and 2 tablespoons oil (edit: in a coffee mug). Sometimes he adds a spoonful of rasberry jam too. Microwave for 80 seconds. Voila!

BTW diabetics can use Stevia instead of sugar (equal amount). I made it that way for a diabetic friend and she said it was great…she doesn’t mind that aftertaste artificial sweeteners leave behind.

LOL....I seriously threatened to buy a burka to wear when we all met up in Florida....to avoid having unwanted photos being taken...;) I'd be afraid to wear one out in public now.....might protect against the virus, but considering the attitudes of many....not any protection from being shot!!

I don't know, I'm expecting it may be the next big Fashion Trend ..

@oldbroad if you want to delete something, go to edit and right click on the video image/link, click on delete and that should remove it.

Is that what you mean?

Yes it is, thank you!

What the H...it still won't delete!

Oh well...

Gonna play some Euchre now...I'm good at that!:D

Morning, all.

Huh, IF they got it right, that fabled bright yellow thing may make an appearance today, and maybe even stick around for a bit. (That's more than 15 minutes ;) )

I suspect the grass will appreciate it, and maybe have a chance to catch up to the dandelions. Note to botanists: why do weeds grow 4 times faster than grass?

Meantime, for those who may be involved in work from home, or home ed,

Good morning everybody. We're going to 66 today and although there's lots of clouds the sun is poking through! The boys are outside filling their back yard with bubbles.

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone has a good day today!

My eye feels fine and it's not near as blurry. I can't wait till I can get it done again. The change is amazing!

Great news! Miracles do happen given medical treatments today. God bless that doctors hands.

@Bea-FL don't even worry about it! I totally understand. I'm going to make 2 bandana masks today so we'll have protection.
A bandana mask will work fine and here is a video for anyone who hasn’t seen how to make one. It uses hair scrunches for the ear loops but for those who don’t have them I also saw a suggestion of cutting rings out of a sock to use for the loops.

Anise if you sew this is the vid I used. Pretty easy and fast. It took me 15 minutes to make one, including the fabric cutting.

Good morning, all! :)

Took a couple of days off from the computer and TV, but, dang, the news still filters in somehow. Felt a bit insulated for a while, anyway.

Yea, our Governor really did us wrong on this one.......those spring breakers should not have been allowed to party.

One spring breaker from New York went home to be told by his father that he will have to fend for himself....not allowing him in the house cause the parents have the grandparents staying with them, and he was told vehemently NOT to go on spring break.
Don't know what happened to the kid or where he went, but that's an example of the rebellious teen who didn't listen.

We have masks with filters made with Filtrete by 3M supposedly blocking virus.:nun: These are being made by a neighbor......she's made 100s so far.
