Good morning!

Keeping busy here! Peter, not being able to golf, play tennis and both of us not bowling has created a to do list in the house which he seems content to do........we've been taking walks and of course, gardening and sprucing up more than planting.

Glad that a lot of my plantings are Florida perennials and are providing glorious color which truly lightens the mood......on the phone a lot with folks and most of them are faring well.....a few are not taking it in stride so we talk a bit more. Most in our neighborhood are fully cooperating, but there are those few that we'd like to slap upside their faces. Mostly younger folks who think they are invincible.

Thank God we have a lot of the supplements that are being recommended; mostly megadoses of Vit. C, then Vit. D, magnesium and zinc.

I am so grateful to be able to come here and see how you all are doing! :)

Stay well, my friends!

Good morning/afternoon! I hope everyone has a good day today!

DH and I are healthy but bored. Meanwhile my sister and her adult brain damaged daughter have the virus. My sister seems to be getting better but we're very worried about my niece. I feel so helpless. And I didn't expect it to hurt so much to find out someone you love is so sick. All I can do is pray and I'm definitely doing that!

Good morning Kay. Glad you're feeling well. We're doing fine here. Mike ran out to the grocery store yesterday and said most people were wearing masks so most people are complying.

Our neighbors seem to be to the rules these days. It's so nice to see so many out for walks or putzing in their yards while keeping their distance from others. The son of our neighbor in front of us turned 16 the other day and can't have a party so at 4:00 a whole mess of his friends drove by in their cars decorated with signs, balloons and streamers. They were honking up a storm, shouting out their birthday wishes. Evidently that's happened in other places as well. People are clever! I feel sorry for him because he can't take his drivers test and I know he's been chomping at the bit to be able to drive like his sister. I'm sure this is a birthday he'll remember for a long time.

Stay well everyone!!

Probably that news item that all the stores had TP ;)

Morning, loungers. Sun continues, yard work continues.

Chaos in the world continues, but maybe some "bright" signs as, at least in the first hit areas we SEEM to be bending the curve. Made a mess of the "Olson" masks, for us and the "kids", so we do our part to continue to be flat.

Our town took a direct tornado hit from last night's storms. No serious injuries thank heavens, but lot's of property damage. We have some good sized branches down but compared to others we are good.
We went through a tornado back in '99 and I will never forget what went on in our area. So glad to hear that you and your family are all ok.

I had a strange thing happen today. I went to our local pharmacy and had a script for my pain meds filled. When I got home I was going to portion out my meds. For my pain meds, I have 3 small glass bottles, I think they originally held ejuice flavors, that I put the daily doses in, anyway when I opened the pain meds the level of pills in the bottle didn't look right. I poured out the pills and there were only 72 pills vice the 112 that were supposed to be in the bottle. I called and told the pharmacy tech what I discovered. She assured me that it couldn't happen because they always counted the pills twice. I also told her there was no notation on the bottle that they "owed" me the 40 pills I was missing. With all the problems that are associated with pain meds nowadays, I could only imagine what was going through the mind of the tech. She put me on hold and I waited for about 10 minutes. She finally came back and told me that their inventory of the pills showed that I had been shorted the pills and I agreed to go back tomorrow and pick up the remainder that I was owed. I am so relieved that the problem was corrected. I was not looking forward to the alternative. Now that that is sorted out, I think I will go out and mow my yard. Whew, I am just totally wiped out from worrying about the pills.

Too close, too close ... nice to hear you were spared any big damage or injury.

Oh my goodness, I can only imagine the panic and anxiety that immediately must have set in. Glad it worked out for you. Not nice of the pharmacy not to have told you the refill was short when you picked it up. Shame, shame on them.

Good morning Kay. We're got clouds this morning, but I see patches of blue so maybe we'll see some sun aafterall.

Thank heavens that got straightened out! How do you prove you didn't have anything to do with missing pills?? That's enough to cause a panic attack! It's a good thing they're honest and somebody on staff didn't just help themselves.

Remember when I said we were having such a pretty Spring because we haven't had any storms to mess up the blooms? Well, as I sit here writing this it's snowing and the wind is blowing like crazy. Ugh!!
Yeah, we got the Spring Teaser the other day. Slight snow here also. Can't wait to try out new riding mower!!!!!

You will like that mower, I have the same one. Well, mine has the Sears Craftsman name on it. The only thing I have ever had to do to it is sharpen the blade and change the oil & filter.

I went to the pharmacy today and picked up the remaining pills that they owed me. No apology but the pharmacist smiled and waved at me through the drive-thru window. I'm still very relieved that their inventory verified that they had not given me the correct amount and that it wasn't a tech or whomever trying to snag some pills.

TX, Jerry. I was impressed that it came with reverse mowing and mulching kit installed. Used to be a Sears fan, but they recently closed down here and it's not looking good for the company. Didn't want to be left out in the cold with a warranty claim. Home depot has been nice with their free home delivery.

    Evening everyone...

Yesterday, the woman who has been driving me to shop for more than 5 years now, in spite if being told not to do this during quarantine, came to take me, as a "friend", not as a client. I needed to stock up for the month and get the required money order for my rent...still a sore point with me that no matter what, I have to go out and get a money order or certified check from the bank instead of payment made in any other way.

I'm beginning to think I will never feel safe going out again... She arrived attired in the same manner as I was...mask and gloves...with a container of disinfectant wipes and extra hand sanitizer if it were needed. We went early, they were only allowing a certain number of people in the store at a time...and everyone was observing the 6 ft. rule until....I went to check out!! The donkey who got in line behind me, only had a dozen eggs in his hands, so not even a cart to separate us, was not wearing a mask and kept crowding up behind me until he was practically breathing down my neck. I really wanted to scream "back the "f" off!", but instead turned and said..."Are you having trouble distinguishing six feet Sir?" I scurried the heck out of the store, but was thoroughly PO'd. What is wrong with the world that people can be so callous under the current circumstances? This wasn't some young kid, but a tall man with salt and pepper hair and a neatly groomed dark beard with white streaks in it. I should have asked his name so that I would know who is responsible for trying to kill people with carelessness!!
